the sad thing is, most people believe whatever the US media says and refute everything other media says. i am glad these people have the gut to tell the truth on live TV.
huh? she said it. i'm not a fox news fan, but they didn't have to show this at all if they were trying to censor it. are the russians denying they're invading??
What was their reaction? They said there were definitely some gray areas, but they didn't seem to really argue her or sensor her. I also understand that they need to clarify unsubstantiated reports which clearly lay all blame on one side, especially when they come from people who aren't officials. I wasn't really offended by the way Fox handled that interview.
thanks for the objectivity, cause i know you're not a fox news fan, either. but i don't know how else you play that interview.
didnt see anything wrong here... Is she an ethnic russian that lives in Georgia? That would but more perspective on her viewpoint.
what i don't get is why everyone is painting Russia as the villain here - Georgia clearly initiated this conflict.
That Georgian president is a real piece of work. I watched him being interviewed on TV yesterday from work. I don't like him nor do I trust him further than I can see. I believe: 1.) He's not a reasonable man. 2.) He's using democracy as an excuse to justify his actions. 3.) He's a liar. 4.) He started this war. 5.) Bush is ignoring the circumstances of the war and supporting Georgia with blinders on just because their a backdoor democracy to Russia. Forget about the details of who dies and who caused it. 6.) Bush is two-faced in his support for democratically elected governments. He will support one and dismiss another as it suits his interests. Therefore, he doesn't support true democracy...only democracies that suit him and advance the interests of the USA. 7.) Democracy is not everything it is cracked up to be when you dig deeper...and is bastardized to the advantage of the governments who wish to abuse it in their interests. Democratic governments may be elected by its citizens...but once elected their own prolific agenda takes over and is not always in the best interests of the citizens who elected it. 8.) Democratic governments tend to act like every decision they make is just and right...even when it's clear they are not. Any question about it...and it can easily be justified with propaganda and spun in a favorable light. I just call it like I see it. As citizens, we have to deal with all the information and misinformation being propogated by the media and come to our own conclusions about events. We have to take our own blinders off and try to ascern the truth.
Props to FOX for airing that. The aunt was really taking her opportunity there. The 12 year old was more articulate. (Go Bay Area public ed!)
