But you implied that what he thinks of Obama is equal to what he thinks of Gore and Kerry when he did state that he thinks higher of Obama than he does of Gore or Kerry.
I don't think McCain has the potential to be "great"...Obama does ... please don't share this with anyone else
Funny thing is that Obama reminds me most of Bill Clinton. Both are very flexible, though coming from an initially liberal point of view. I don't see much similarity with Bush at all.
Somebody get back to me when Obama spends more than half of his adult life as a drunk ... Worst President Ever.
I don't think there is such a thing as a bad reason to vote for someone. Leverage every piece of information and misinformation you can, apply what intellect you can muster, and make a decision. The People, in the end, will get the president they deserve.
Holy Crap!!! On a side note, does anyway know a good remedy for getting Diet Dr. Pepper out of the crevices of a 17" laptop screen and keyboard?
That is the premise of this entire thread. If you have a problem with that, you might have chosen to take that up with the OP.
Ah damn...double post. Sorry. I just realized that you posed it generally, and I assumed you had directed that to one specific person. Carry on with my apologies.
To clarify,...Obama has the potential to be great...But he could turn out to be Carter bad... McCain is likely the safer overall pick, but likely to be no greater than above average or good... In my twisted mind, only 2 Presidents in the 20th century have been "great" Truman, Reagan, possibly FDR on the fringe outside Obama distanced himself from the "angry-spit and yelp"-Kerry-Gore mold, in his tone of rhetoric...reminiscent of "ole skool" Democrats with better class...(pre-1970)
