There is no way a midget or anyone shorter than Yao should be trying to post him up.

BTW, Yao has a really soft touch.

China needs to play Chen Jiang Hwa more if they want to have any hope of beating Germany or Greece...

Germany's offense is terrible, so if the CNT plays the best defense of their lives, they could win.

Yi isn't as bad as i thought.. he has a good instinct at where the ball's going to land for the rebounds... though not as good as scola. he's also relatively quick.

30 points in Olympics basketball, that's like 50 points in the NBA.

How many times does Scola Jam it on other people? :D

Yi is a good athlete for a 7 footer, runs the floor well and finishes

BTW, Sun just got posterized by Gomes.

Basketball is more than jamming on other people.

Scola does a lot things like setting picks, fight for rebound, dive etc etc. What do Yi do when things not goin his way? He just stand there and watch, not even trying to play little defense!

China has a decent chance of beating Germany or Greece.

The first two losses China had were a "Given" against the USA and Spain.

They could have won against Spain but the next couple of games, they arent huge underdogs.

Yes, I know, I was just be facetious. Scola is a great player, no doubt.

But Yi has an upside too. Sure he may seem out of place at times and doesnt seem to hustle, but lets not forget he is young, he is 7 feet, athletic, and he can shoot. Yi is a prospect, Scola is at the peak of his game, and at the Moment Scola is a more productive player.

USA beat Angola by 21, Germany beat them by 29, China beats them by 14. Thats China's problem. They're not HUNGRY. Go after them. Jesus don't wilt when the play gets physical in the 4th. Angola played physical defense against them in the 2nd quarter and China STUNK.

Also fight through the picks. Jesus how many wide open 3pters are u going to give them? FIght through the picks! Damnit i'm surprised the chinese coach hasn't gone insane yet. It must be like talking to 11 walls and 1 tall guy that barely shows up to half the practices.

    Yao with a monster of a stat-line: 30 pts; 10-11 FG; 10-11 FT; 7 RBS; 4 BS; 3 AST.

This game is very fishy. Over-under was 151 points (combined points of both teams). Final shot by the Angolan player at the buzzer made it 153 points. Whoever bet "over" wins money, whoever bet "under" lose. Tough luck!

And China was favorite to win by 14 points. If you bet on China and they don't win by 14 points, you lose money. Who would've thought China would win over the points spread? I bet not a lot of people wager on China on this game.

The China Basketball Men team is a sissy team. They play like chicken, like men without balls, no guts at all.
I watched the US vs China Women Basketball few nights ago, the Chinese women have no fear, never gave up, continue to penetrate even behind 20,30,40 points. They are aggressive and teh right mentality to play basketball whereas the Chinese men team....... once they trailed you can see from their eyes, they gave up. When they led, they relaxed and forget basketball is 40 minutes game. I have seen this again and again... shake head!

i love that stat line from Yao. It reminds me of the nationally televised mavericks game in Yao's rookie season.

Schortianitis isn't the world's best conditioned athlete either :D

China just has to play a team game, cant rely just on Yao or Yi, everyone has to show up.
