dude we can go back and forth all we want on this....but it is well known and documented that in Africa... Birth certificates are not trustworthy…Now that does not mean that all players have fake ones, but sometimes their parents don’t apply for a certificate until a few years after their birth. Its a common thing in Africa...you cant dispute that.

Actually yeah I can. You do know Africa is not 1 big country right???
You're gonna just generalize and say regardless of the country as long as it's in Africa I bet they've got forged birth certificates, It's a common thing. Sorry If I sound a bit touchy but I'm just not fond of such widesweeping generalizations.
It's been documented as well that the same thing has gone on in some South American countries like Brazil but that's still no reason to cast aspersions on them.

    GO USA and Nigeria.

i am disappointed with Chinese soccer,
It‘s known to all,China is the biggest country. And has the largest population.
Soccer only need 11 people. Why Brazil is good?
I think no one can save Chinese soccer except themselves.
As a Chinses,i hope them will improve. :(

lol...dont take Offense buddy… Were did I say Africa was 1 country? You understood what I was saying…Africa is the sick child of the world in regards to economic development. Its that type of Generalization that I’m using. Its obvious that they don’t have adequate medical systems… I know I worked with an The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, Their a little behind…
So why does it come as a shock to you that they use birth certificates that are a year or two younger?
    Don’t be naïve…

According to the US Soccer site it's tomorrow (WED 13th) at 4am on USA Network vs. Nigeria. The US only needs a point (tie) to advance.

I'm looking forward to the next match of the Dutch. I wasn't completly happy with the choices De Haan made. I wouldn't have included Sibon, or Jaliens. And I would have included Aisiatti and Lens, both great players.

I do hope we will go far in this tournament, I think we have a good chance to do so, but we do have to play better. We just got lucky against USA.

Man, I've lived in Africa and in more than a couple of countries there so I know whats going on there. It didn't come as a shock to me about the birth certificates but I just wanted to stop the generalization and it seems you agree that's what you were using.

Good job by the Brazilian ladies whooping up on Nigeria.

    GO USA and Nigeria.

Seriously what merited that inclusion??? I missed his name on the initial roster but when I saw him coming off the subs bench in that 1st match, I thought to myself isn't he like 40 now?? Wasted inclusion IMHO. So much dutch talent over the age of 23 and you pick Sibon? It's not really like a McBride situation whereby McBride had served his country excellently for many years and put in a last request to play in the Olympics. I don't think Sibon provided much benefit to the Dutch national team for most of his career.

You sure did....a ball UNDER THE WALL.....wow......

The main dutch team is so much better than the USA, but the young US team has some real up and coming talent...hopefully they will go to Europe and get better so we can have a good run at the WC in 2 years.

I have to say that Yesterday I was happy with him:D

He has never played for the dutch national team. But in the past he has played for Heereveen (and he is playing for that team now). Foppe de Haan (The coach of the Dutch team) has been the coach of Heereveen for years, and in that time Sibon was his striker. That is the main reason why he was added, De Haan loves him.

It is a shame that the deal was made that people who went to the European Championship couldn't go to the Olympics otherwise Huntelaar would have been our striker:D. I also do not understand why we didn't add Van Bommel to the squad, he didn't play in the European championship.

Arno_ed, I have a sick mancrush on Huntelaar and his skills(No homo).

I just want to see him wearing the red shirt of United and stepping out at Old Trafford as soon as possible. (Much to the annoyance of one of my best friends back in Amsterdam who is an Ajax fan through and through, but whateva :D )

To answer your question DD, no, because people like Carlos Tevez and others don't care about representing their country...

Basically I only watch International Soccer if the WC squads are playing. Heh
