Meh i can say a few shows there are decent but for the most part it sucks... Shows that are decent or were decent.. Beavis and Butthead,Daria, Jackass, Wildboys, Rob & Big, and True Life: I am a (insert some crappy person in society)
"I LIKE USED TO LIKE IT IN MIDDLE SCHOOL BUT NOW I DONT LIKE DO YALL LIKE IT????" no ****, mtv is intended for 12 year olds. weird topic to start. nobody actually LIKES mtv who doesn't listen to miley cyrus and doesn't need mom for a ride to clarinet lessons, so uh who cares. i watch it from time to time, the tools on there trying so hard... it can be hilarious. i find 'next' to be cream of the crop.
MTV is a brainwashing machine, much like alot of other entertainment today. It used to be about bring the audience what they want. Somewhere along the way it morphed into: WE TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT, THEN FLOOD THE MARKET WITH IT. Obviously this works better on the young population that MTV targets. I watch it every once in a while like BET, to see if there's somebody that i might like there (I like well produced tracks, i often listen to rap instrumentals, can't find that with alot underground guys). I can't really think of any TV channel i really like, they all suck.
MTV: For unleashing My Super Sweet 16, Next, A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, That's Amore, That's 70s House, I Want A Famous Face, Making the Band Part Infinity, Parental Control, The Hills, The Ashley Simpson Show, Carson Daly, Tiara Girls, and a neverending list of abominations....MTV is guilty on all counts. Sentence: Instant Death. MTV's parent company, Viacom is also responsible for the drecks that fill Vh1, BET, Nickelodeon, Noggin, CBS, and etc. Charges are pending.
... of course it ultimately falls at the feet of parents who allow their children to watch this stuff, without even attempting to put it into a proper context. MTV could actually be a great guide on how not to live your life.
Nickelodeon> Disney Channel. I grew up a Nickelodeon kid, now all i see are these Disney channel/ miley cyrus obsessed 9 year olds.

I haven't seen it in years but I'm guessing it probably turned into ****. What happened to Ren and Stimpy? Doug? Are you afraid of the dark? Rockos Modern Life Disney channel is more garbage in my opinion. All my little cousin talks about is High School Musical, Jonas Brothers, Zack and Cody.. basically Disney Channel is brainwashing the 6-10 year old demographic to be stuck up and think they are the ****. Plus, IMO they are the Electronic Arts of "little kid" television. All about that $$$$ MTV AND DISNEY CHANNEL = TRASH
MTV sucks. It has sucked for many, many years. I accidentally watched a few minutes of that Tila show. I could feel myself losing IQ points.
I'm glad I am not alone. I wrote blog about MTV, awhile ago. I literally said if you get time machine and bring American soliders from WWII and show them what their future generation has become....they would literally run to the side of Nazis and Imperialist Japan.
Beavis and Butthead was cool, but they stopped playing that 10 years ago. Now they play Spongebob Square Pants. I used to watch it for Pimp My Ride, and Cribs but they overkill every decent show. They need to go to T-Mac's house. Why can't they pimp out a bus...they probably did, but after they lost half their ratings. I feel like we got the better end of television than the current and future generation of tweens. Reality TV is too scripted, and teaches kids how to act life.
I liked it when it first aired and for the first 5-6 years. It changed music - in some ways for the worse. Unfortunately, now it is just a crappy channel with a name that has nothing to do with its programming. It would be like calling yourself Sports Television and showing nothing but cooking shows.
awesome! I think you should also add an amendment, something to the effect of...... "if you start a sentence with 'I mean, it's like ya know...' you should be...." if you say "like" or "ya know" more than 3 times in one sentence, you should be sent to Zed's basement.
