I think it's better to pop the question in a place that is meaningful to you and her. Like somewhere you went when you first started dating, or a place you like to go a lot.

My husband asked me one night at a park that we used to goto when we were dating.

You're really asking a message board for recommendations on how to propose to your girlfriend??

VERY lame, Captain Originality. Nice prize you are.

^ Lady_Di, did he have to ask for your hand in marriage to your parents? I had to do that for my wife because I thought it was right... not because it was "tradition."

That guy from "mysuperproposal" and other idiots who have "great ideas" about proposing where they are NOT actually proposing personally to their girl are completely lazy.

See, it is more BALLSY to say those words in front of the girl than RECORDING IT FIRST and then replaying it. The difference is that the girl isn't there in front of them, so the feeling isn't the same. It's like I'm sending a dog with a note to my girlfriend to make her my fiance. Completely moronic. Dudes that record it and then show it have no guts and shouldn't get married to ANYONE.

DO IT YOURSELF. DO IT ROMANTICALLY. DO IT CLEANLY. DO IT WITHOUT ANYONE AROUND. That's the way to do it. Don't record it. Don't call people. Don't display it on some medium she has to read. Don't be lazy. You can do it.

    "Moody" park, eh? ;)
