I think those cops watched too many police movies. I'm pretty sure the domestic dogs they shot were more scared of the police than the police were scared of them. I highly doubt the mayor raised pitbulls with metal spiked collars. Someone probably tried to get the mayor in trouble. I guess high ranking officials get that kind of stuff all the time. Who knows...
It might not be inconceivable that public officials receive big, gaudy random-ass gifts from time to time, though usually at their office.
he also said that in the interview i saw...he said one dog was shot dead where it normally lays to sleep and such. the other was running to another room or something cuz it was scared of the people entering.
My understanding of the story is that the Mayor (actually his wife) was the victim of a drug delivery scheme where smugglers mail the package to some persons house and then a receiver picks up the package from the porch right after it's delivered. The home owners, if all went well for the smugglers, would never have even known there was a package on their porch. I also understand that this ring has subsequently been busted. If what I've read is true then the mayor and his family are completely innocent and, indeed, victims themselves. The cops who staged this raid should all be put in prison.
victims, just like all the senators and politicians who got caught up in sex, drugs, and infidelity scandals. the guy had 32 POUNDS of weed in his home!
that was the package he brought in right? hence it was the drug ring planting it there. he happened to intercept it before the druggie picked it up off their porch
