If I had to pick one I would have to say I root for Yao. USA blew China out and I was rooting for USA as well, but I found myself cheering for Yao to score every time he touched the ball. Anyone else?

I wanted China to win.....because I know the USA is still going to the medal round and I want big Yao to get his team to the quarters.

I was rooting for China to win. I'll probably root for Argentina as well, if they ever play USA.

It's no fun rooting for a team that has an overwhelming edge, talent-wise. Unless they're the Rockets, of course.

Edit: Wait, that Argentina game would be single-elimination. Forget that. Go USA.

I was rooting for the USA, of course. But I wanted Yao to dominate and the final to be close.

I was rooting for China, and Yao of course, he looked beastly in the fourth quarter, ripping down offensive rebounds like it was nothing and knocking one of his own team mates to the ground in the process. Whooops.

Rooting for China against the USA probably is the most traitorous thing you could do if you live in the USA.

I want the US to win the gold and they most likely will. However, USA was such a Goliath in this game I found myself cheering for Yao much throughout the game. This game was like watching big grown men taking on high schoolers. Other than Yao, no one else in the China team looked capable of doing their job.

I despise, however, the 2 Utah players, pulling all that dirty j*zz stuff. And that block on Deron was super clean, Deron knew it and so did Yao. I'm glad Deron choked the dunk on Yao. I hope Ron Artes and Joey Dorsey give Boozer a taste of his slapping arms around.

I only caught the end. By that time Yao was just cheerleading.

I wanted China to win, knowing that USA team will go on to medal anyway.

This was China's, and Yao's gold medal game.

What about buying everything made in China like sports apparel and TVs and such instead of American products that is not traitorous?

Oh all of sudden capitalism is more important than patriotism huh?

Would Dream be a traitor to Nigeria for never playing on a basketball team or organizing a program for that country?

If he did I would root for Nigeria.

Even the USA should come second to the rockets, otherwise you are a USA fan and not a rocket fan. :)

I wanted Yao to go off for 40 despite knowing he's only about 70 percent. I wanted Argentina to win, and I definitely found myself hating on Spanoulis and Greece. When he slipped on a breakaway I startled my friends by jumping up and screaming VICTORY a la Johnny Drama. In the end though everyone wants Team USA to win, and maybe with a little luck for Boozer or Deron to get humiliated or knicked up a bit.
