Yao looks like he is so out of shape. His timing is so off. He almost got injured again. Sadly, like the previous years, the rockets chances of contending really depends on Yao's health. Unfortunately, chances are against us. :(

If Yao had gotten hurt I would have destroyed something.

What are you supposed to do? Go cry in a corner, and suck your thumb?

Yao is Team China's LEADER. LEADER.

When your leader is pouting, with a towel over his head, the entire crowd will pretty much "Monkey see, monkey do."

Yao still wanted the fans to cheer, even if it was a blowout loss.

There are two positive outcome from this game today 1) Yao is ready and 2) Team USA should win the Gold...

I think he is 2 or 3 years older than Yao. The bad thing for him is he didn't come to NBA when he was 20, he is so talented then.

That honor goes to Angola or Iran, probably.

Hey, these are the top16 teams in the World, kinda. China is the dream team in Asia. :D

Man that #4 PG of China impressed me with his speed and quick passing skills at the beginning. He made some newbie turnovers tough...

I liked what I saw from CHN early...they stayed close, but you had to know that the USA was gonna pull away.

Anyway, you clowns stop ripping on Yao for cheering like he was...like az said, he's the leader, and they played close with one of the favorites for 2 1/2 qtrs...

how did he burn me? it's true that yao will never provide the emotion/passion he will have for these games than he ever will playing for the rockets. it's not something that i can criticize b/c it's patriotism. i applaud him. but as a rocket fans, you lament about it a little bit.

Scrub Boozer has been terrible in the Olympics, no wonder Coach K doesn't want to play him. lmao

US big men have never looked good in international play the past 7-8 years. duncan struggled mightily with the rules, amare/dwight/boozer/bosh get punked quite a few times every game.

Kobe bryant is a product of david stern and the nba. he looked horrofic out there. if the nba refs are not carrying him, he's nowhere near as good as LBJ . i think LBJ is the best player in the league now.

Ok ok ok, truce, I agree. I would like to see Yao express that kind of emotion on a regular basis but thats just not him, and this is on a whole other level than say, a game against the Timberwolves.

of course you do. yao showed a lot of heart today and had yi played better, it might have been a better game. we all know their guards suck more than you and I.

i'm just saying would he have done this if he was playing for the rockets? would have pump his fist to rocket fans if we were losing a game?

yao needs to bring this "i'm the man/leader" mentality playing for the rockets. we're waiting for him to take that mantle from tracy and he still hasn't done it.

He's only 19 years old too. Too bad when he matures, Yao will be either retired or at least past his prime.
