Only mentioned on forums right now, but looks like something big exploded in Toronto. Apparently some Toronto residents on Twitter are saying it was a gas station or something related to Shell, but who knows. Other photos are here: http://www.photojunkie.ca/ Any Toronto residents on the board?

http://www.680news.com/news/topstory/article.jsp?content=20080810_050824_14460 Sunday, August 10, 2008 - 05:30 AM By: 680News Staff Police evacuated some homes in the area of Keele and Wilson after a series of explosions. It appears the explosions occurred at a propane depot. There are no reports of any injuries. Callers to the 680News room said there were dozens of explosions that shook buildings and sent black smoke billowing into the air. A man named Bernard called 680News and said he was working at a building in the area when the explosions occurred and he thought the building was going to come down. He said, "Glass was flying everywhere, the doors were knocked in, it's a terrible mess." A woman named Christina said, "There was a huge, huge billow of smoke that went straight up in the air and then an absolute massive gas ball exploded." Police brought in buses to take residents out of the area to the Yorkdale shopping centre southeast of the scene of the explosions. A number of police and emergency vehicles are at the scene. Some roads in the area were closed off and police blocked access to the 401 at Keele.

Oh my God...those first and third videos are unbelievable. Hearing those people scream in terror in the background when it explodes...it gives me a really sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. It kind of brings back unfortunate memories.
That is great news. When I saw that video the only thing that came to mind was Texas City explosion of 47. Now I was only 2 when that happened but I have memories of it nonetheless do to the fact that I lost two uncles to that blast. God willing and hopefully there will be no fatalities out of all of that.
No fatalities or major injuries reported, but there is one person unaccounted for. Man, it could have been so much worse.
yikes. I was in BP in Texas City when it blew up in 2005. while that explosion wasn't as big as this one........my sentiments were basically the same as the guy shootin the vid. WTF?
