Why is it that conservatives/repubs are always bashing their opponents on why not to vote for liberals/democrats instead of campaigning why we should vote for themselves?
Today's response to the latest Obama ad was, "Apparently he's taken a vacation from the facts as well." Why didn't they just say, "Your mama?" McCain is running his campaign like he's posting on a forum. It seems like the main goal of every communication he has with the public these days, be it an ad or a speech or an interview, is to elicit the response, "Ooohhh, burnnnnn...." For an incredibly old man he sure does act like he's in junior high school.
Because Republican issues lose nationally. The few issues that have national support aren't things you can run a campaign on.
This illustrates why McCain's "fiscal conservative" talk is a pure load of baloney. What is shameful is how someone with a distinguished career, marked mostly by principle, can just throw it all away.

To achieve the HALF figure TJ touts you have to include about 80% of the 50% who save a total of $9 or less!! . Only about 5% for those who make under $100 k per year Another thing the report shows is that more than 50% of the total goes to those whose adjusted gross income is more than $2 million per year. Several points emerge from this data. # The special low tax rates on capital gains and dividends reduced income tax payments by $91.7 billion in 2005. # The 67 million tax filers who reported adjusted gross incomes of less than $30,000 — half of all filers — got virtually none of the benefits of the capital gains and dividends tax breaks. # In contrast, the 828,000 filers with reported incomes above $500,000 — 0.6 percent of all filers — got 73.4 percent of the total tax reductions, saving an average of $81,204 each. # Most amazing, the 13,776 tax filers with adjusted gross incomes in excess of $10 million — a mere 0.01 percent of all filers — got 28.2 percent of the total tax savings. You disgust me and other America-loving patriots. McCain endured torture for our great nation (while Barry Soetoro was living in Indonesia with Lolo). He does NOT support torture. He does, however support the TROOPS, which must annoy you to no end. Face facts.

now - that's some major sarcasm. i never laughed so hard in my life. if the republicans really do try to swift-boat obama with all those lies trying to say he's not a u.s. born citizen...if that's how they try to win the election - i think it will forever tarnish the republican party.
