I believe this is the 20th anniversary of the first attempted night game at Wrigley Field (it was rained out, though).
I just had to put down money for my condo upgrades, for $888. Writing the check I realized the date. weird, huh?
The dates really not a big deal. It's 8-8-08. Why leave the zero out at the end? lol. Wait until 11-11-11 when all of the numbers connect.
Yeah but there is still that pesky 20 in front of the last 11. If only I were alive on November 11th, 1111. What an exciting time that must've been...
http://wcco.com/local/eight.newborn.fergus.2.791261.html Fergus Falls Newborn Born At 8:08 On 08/08/08 FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (AP) ― Hailey Jo Hauer was born on on the eighth day of the eighth month of 2008. At 8:08 a.m. And you're not going to believe what she weighed. Yes: eight pounds, eight ounces. When staff at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls told Lindsay Hauer the time of her daughter's birth, "I think they were just joking," she said. Then, still in the operating room, she got a call from the birthing suite where Haily Joe was being measured and weighed. When hospital staff in the operating room heard that Hailey Jo weighed in at eight pounds eight ounces, several resolved to buy lottery tickets later in the day. Happy 8/8/08...
How do we know she didn't weight 8 lbs, 7.4 oz and they just rounded up? Or she was born at 8:07a, and they waited a few seconds before declaring that she was officially born?
8 represents luck in Chinese culture. That is the reason why the opening ceremony began at 8/8/8 8:08pm(local time). Besides, tens and thousands Chinese lovers engage today to celebrate the Olympic games and also to find a easy-remember day for their future anniversary.
Apparently there was a baby boy born in Iowa also at 8.08a, weighing 8 lbs, 8 oz. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/hotstories/5933172.html
