First off, that was the BEST game I have been to all season. It beats the 37 point beating over Dallas and the tough buzzer beater loss to Charlotte.

For the first time, I spent more than $10 on seats cuz it was almost a sell out. :D My friend and I were still able to move from Sec. 219 ($19.50) to 213 ($46) which was almost mid court upper prom.

When coming in to the arena, one the ladys working there was NOT going to give me a clapper simply because there is a "Miller Lite" logo on it and I am not 21. Hell if their giving out 10,000 of them, why the hell are they NOT going to give me one? My friend that came with me just got 2 and gave me one. For some reason they sang the Canada and National Antham WAY earlier than usual. They still had bout 6 mins left for shoot around.

Quick Note: before the game I saw Glen Rice shoot some 3s. Was drainning them like nothing. At one point he made 9 in a row.

The introduction for Hakeem was just unbeliveable, almost brought tears to my eyes. The standing ovation was about 5 mins with everybody banging their clappers as loud as they can be. Once they dimmed the lights for the Rocks intro, bout half the arena sat down which pissed me and my friend off.

Throughout the game, it wasnt too bad. I was just adjusting to see more people than usual. The entertainment between timeout were cool, although it seems like I see the same thing everytime. The highlight of the night was when Turbo climbed atop a 10 story latter and did a backflipped dunk, pretty impressive.

In the second half, the Rocks got everybody pumped up. It was funny, when Hakeem made a fadeaway, the announcer paused for a good while the finally said "The DREAMMMM SHAKKKKEEE". I was like what the hell? He isnt on our team anymore. :D By the beginning of the fourth quarter, me and my friend were already losing our voices. Great moment when Eddie drained 2 trifectas in the fourth, everybody screamed his name. Even when he fell down on the floor hard, everybody was holding their breaths and screaming his name and got a standing ovation when he got up and came back into the game. The last shot by A. Williams had my heart pounding cuz I thought I was going to witness the same thing from the Charlotte game.

Overall, had a GREAT time and the best game I have been to this year. The clapper thing should be something they give out more often cuz thats what got most of the fans in the game. Would have been better to Hakeem get more playing time, but it was great to cheer him on during introductions.

Brilliant post. You have the right attitude about Hakeem and the Rockets.

Absolute best game I have ever been to. I still think the highlight of the night was Eddie finally snapping out of his slump and having a great game. All the 'Eddie' chanting was awesome. I love it when the crowd does it. All the chanting after the game in the concourse and parking lot was AWESOME. He is my absolute favorite player.

The clappers were awesome too. My friends had to do some long convincing from the guy handing out the clappers cuz we're not 21 either. :D

this game kind of reminded me, from a television perspective, the game last year when hakeem busted out against the knicks and we went on that tear. the crowd loves dreamer.

I've never seen (well atleast this year) the crowd as pumped as they were today. The "Eddie" chant was absolutely amazing! :)

Anyone notice only 2 refs tonight at the game?...the third got sick just as the game was about to kick off.

You should have argued with them..Their add does not state first 10,000 people 21 and up recieve a Miller lit clapper.
It states FANS...Rockets promotional dept is so screwed up they tell you one thing and do another.

Anyone get there picture taken on the wave and surfboard? I did I saved some beach so they said when I took the picture. also got Layed....Mine was yellow so all in all tonight fans got
    Layed and the clap hahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahah

When Eddie went down though everyone got up Thank god he was ok.:p

If Hakeem retires after this year, I wonder if the Rockets will wait until they move into the new arean to retire his number. There is nothing that would open a new building better than sending #34 to the rafters.

Or, possibly, the last game at Compaq...sort of a farewell to the player that made The Summit famous...

My bro and I never got carded when we got our clappers? They weren't giving away alcohol. Although it was only my second game this year, first was Eddie's break out game in Dec vs. LAL, had to be the most energy the Rockets played w/ for 48 min, coming back from 16 in first half. Rudy played matchups real well and TMO got the most of his playing time. Wiz playing great and shooting fearlessly since returning. GO Rox!

It was definitely the most enjoyable game of the year from a fan perspective.

It also highlights why I have mixed feelings about 'tanking' the rest of the season (as was being discussed in a different thread). The team needs to have wins like this, and fans definitely need to have games/wins like this.

As far as the Eddie chant, that happens at almost every game, usually started by the Upper Prom. It's unfortunate Stevie or Francis doesnt make a good chant though, because his game was just sick in the thrid quarter.

That's pretty lame, I remember one game, I signed up at that Miller Lite designated drivers thing and got a free keychain. I promised them I wouldn't drink tonight, which would have been difficult to do anyway since I'm not 21...:)

Edit: They also gave DM and myself free coke coupons...

What an amazing game--even on TV! The introduction of Hakeem and the cheers of the fans brought goose bumps. It must have been awesome to have been there!

It's just too bad that Dream didn't stay and retire as a Rocket. He's not really helping Toronto and will always truly be a Rocket.

Last night we saw the great past, and also the great future that this present Rockets team can have.

Last night's game even beats the game I went to against the Knicks where Mooch hit the game winning shot.

I have not seen the second half yet of the game , I taped it. I have to say it made me sick when I say the Rockets playing so hard like they are in the playoff race. Why didnt they play so hard vs the damn Lakers. I hate teams that play hard on certain nights when they feel like it . I dont watch uniforms I watch players and that is why I watch the Raptors. I have watched almost every Rockets game from oct 90 to Hakeems last and many in the 80's.
