You just made my lunch plans for today - thanks!

Rileydog: What restaurant in Brownsville was it? Las Brasas by any chance?

Haven't tried that one, but Dan's Puffy Taco's on 620 in Round Rock are the best that I've ever had outside of San Antonio.

You could probably get more than a joint over there.

El Chilito on Manor in East Austin serves up some pretty good puffy tacos.

Possibly. I wasn't driving so I didn't pay attention. It was very close to the main highway, not that that's very helpful in narrowng the choices. Packed with the lunch crowd, included folks that seemed connected locally. you walk in and there's a bar in front of you, to the left, and you can sit either in the main room right in front, or there's some seating through a doorway to the left.

I just realized that's not helpful at all. We also had some kick ass nachos.

    - Brown lettuce
    - A side of what could easily pass for Diarrhea
    - Cheese that looks so old I wouldn't even try and feed to a rat
    - rice that looks so old a hole in the wall joint in Chinatown wouldn't even use to make fried rice
    - Tomatoes that look like the ones from Taco Bell

I know it's just a picture your using as an example but you've got a reputation to hold up. You're better than that FATTY!

Seriously, and the person behind the camera who took that picture? Who does that. The plate looks like its been chillen a week and then they decided to take a pix of it? If they supposedly just made that "fresh" and took the picture that's even more disgusting. GROSS.

    okay rant over but DAMN!

You went to The Vermillion. Home of the best fajita nachos on earth. I worked there for a week once - luckily I got the boot - otherwise I would have been the star of "half-ton man".

yeah, that's it. I know that was the name. I may have to schedule some meetings in Brownsville just to get more puffy tacos and nachos.
