Phx is still an interesting team to watch, especially with Diesel. Im shocked New York only got no games. America loves to watch an explosion.
Agreed. Denver having 16 games national is a joke, same with Portland having 13. NBA and their marketing, damn you to hell.

but if say boston get 25 games, doesnt that mean there will be a corresponding 25 opposing teams that will be televised as well? or are they all included on that list?
Agree on Denver. They are tired, even with AI and Melo. Disagree on Portland. NBA fans nationwide need to be introduced to Brandon Roy. After winning R-O-Y in 06/07, he came back with another very strong year despite being slowed by injuries. The guy can get to the rim any time he wants and is sick in the clutch. If injuries don't bite, he will become a marquee player with the added exposure. LaMarcus Aldridge is another remarkable youngster who get almost zero coverage despite taking a big step forward last season. Throw in Greg Oden and you have a team that people should watch. As I commented in the earlier thread on this subject, the Mavs getting 21 games is an inexplicable joke. Cleveland/Boston, LA Lakers/Phoenix, San Antonio/Phoenix matchups are on 4 times each and several others (including Houston/Dallas) are on 3 times. From the other thread, here is the breakdown by network: Code: Team ABC ESPN ESPN2 TNT Total Appearances Boston 6 10 9 25 Cleveland 5 10 10 25 L.A. Yeah, we should have. No reason why Dallas should have 21. That is just stupid. That team has fallen since their Finals appearance and 67-win season. Houston has McGrady/Yao/Artest. I'm pretty sure we'll get somewhere around 18 or so primetime games if we continue to win this season.
between our first round flame outs and our superstars inability to play together due to one or other being injured I really can't see why anyone is complaining... although you do wonder how much of difference ghetto Ron's addition would have made to the national schedule also have the knicks finally hit rock bottom
I'm not surprised that Houston is in the second tier of most televised games. Even though I'm very excited about our team this season, there's still a lot of questions about how well the Rockets fit into the public eye. First and most obviously, the Rockets two main stars are injury prone. Scheduling the Rockets for 20-25 games most likely means no McGrady and/or no Yao in a good chunk of those games. Then, Artest isn't exactly the poster child David Stern wants for the NBA. On top of all that, the Rockets need to prove they can gel as a team. Once they do, I'm sure they'll get more national time. Those national televising companies always add/swap games on the fly later in the season. Basically, the reason the Rockets don't have as many nationally televised games as those other teams is because of injury proneness and Ron Artest. But who cares? Just as long as the Rockets are nationally televised in June...
