Our rotation should be: Oswalt Miller Reynolds Hernandez Redding Mlicki is not half as good as Redding!
So far, both Hernandez and Redding have been really effective. Neither has given up a run yet, I don't think. But then again, neither has pitched for longer than 3 innings. We know that Hernandez can go for starter innings and still pitch well, but Redding is the mystery here. If nothing else, this at least shows that Redding would do well as a long relief bullpen member until he develops more stamina (that is assuming he doesn't have the stamina right now). Hopefully, Redding will get a chance to pitch for 5-6 innings in a spring game at some point before the season. That will be a big deciding factor, I would think. Edit: Just checked yesterday's pitching stats, and Redding did indeed give up a run. So he has given up a run in 5 or 6 total innings, and Hernandez has given up none in 5 or 6 total innings. This is a good race.
The best thing about the race is that it pushes their limits. Reynolds could be the fifth starter if this keeps up.
