This statement is logically flawed in so many ways, I don't even know where to begin. These naive declarations of triumph show a complete lack of understanding of the democratic consolidation process. Look at Latin America to see what can happen when a democratic transition is undertaken without firmly entrenched liberal institutions. But then again, I'm not surprised that amateur nation-builders are oblivious to history and the abundance of scholarship in these fields.
