Yup. And a second day pick, at that. It's a fourth rounder. It bumps to a third if he takes 50% of the snaps, a second if he takes 70% and they make the playoffs and a first if they make the Super Bowl and he takes 80%.

If they trade him to the Vikes or Bears, it'll have to be for three first rounders because that's what they have to send to GB if they do. Trading him to the NFC North isn't an option.

Here's hoping he sucks completely this season.

GB just bent him over a chair re football. Of course, this has never been about football. It's been about everybody talking about Brett Clemen...er, Favre 24/7. The attention-w**** got what he wanted.

Is north New jersey the same thing as East Rutherford?

I swear I said North New Jersey.

Buffalo is actually called South Toronto.

Easy way around the Packers chicken ***** safeguards, making the NFC North interesting:

Vikings agree to trade a 2nd round pick for a horrible player from the Jets on the condition that the Jets release Favre.

Favre then signs with the Vikings.

Jets give up a 4th round pick for Favre and end up getting a 2nd round pick in return. Jets keep Pennington.

    Would this have been possible?

    Traded to the Jets!

Couldn't they have done the more humane thing and taken him out the back and shot him instead? :D

I guess this thread is as good as any to talk about this (didn't think it warranted its own thread).....

Has anyone been reading ESPN's website on all this Favre crap - specifically the articles by Gene Wojciechowski?

Seriously, this Wojciechowski guy sounds like an alias for Favre or better yet, James "Bus" Cook (what kind of stupid nickname is "Bus" unless you are Jerome Bettis?). The articles he has written since all this drama has taken place would make you swear up and down that he has been sniffing Favre's jockstrap a little bit too much. I mean his articles are so one-sided and slanted, that it is bordering on being far way over the top!

Sucks to be Brett. As much as we were all tired of it, he probably should have held out longer. He has pretty much zero shot at making the playoffs in Jersey/B. The AFC is too stacked -- he pretty much doesn't have a shot going up against the AFC south division by itself. Green Bay made out like Bandits and screwed Brett over in the process.

The Jets are only one season removed from being a 10-6 playoff team, even in the stacked AFC -- and made several significant additions in the offseason (Faneca, Woody) outside of Favre. Sound defense as well. I'm not saying they're definitely a playoff team, but there's a better chance than some are giving them credit for.

They also have a very weak schedule -- only five games against playoff teams (New England, San Diego, Tennessee and Seattle) and two of those five (Titans, Seahawks) are against fringe playoff teams at best. I wouldn't be shocked...
