We have all discussed here about how much Olajuwon has lost his fire to compete. I think that I might have a solution to this problem and how this could fire up Olajuwon. And lets not bring up the injuries. Hes fine. Hes ok. Lets stop making excuses.

Alot of us are saying that he can still perform if only he put in the effort. So how about this, why not just play him 35 minutes a game. He is already 18 months away from retirement. Whats gonna happen that is gonna hurt this team? Hurt our seeding in the playoffs? I say, play him til he drops. Cato is young and he can wait to get playing time. Olajuwons time is running out.

And that can only do two things.

One, it can just expose every weakness he has developed and we can all just get ready to say good-bye. Or...

He can get sick and tired of being abused, run over, kicked, elbowed out of position, smacked around, and embarassed to the point where his pride will show and he decides to switch gears and take over. Its the right thing to do at this stage of his career and right now, we have nothing to lose.

Playing him will show us if he is just collecting a paycheck, or he still has the pride, desire and skill to at least earn it.

No better time to start than tonight against Ewing.

    Um...

Never mind. Four minutes into the game and Dream is already winded. I guess its a health thing.

Anyone want to tell me what Dreams issue with throwing a jam down is. In the first quarter I got to see him miss a dunk with no one around him. Reminded me of a couple of games ago when he blew that layup with no one around. And Im watching Kurt Thomas burger 2 of his shots.

Hakeem...Your 7 feet tall. Jump and throw those suckers down man.

Actually boys this is where I think Rudy is lacking.

He should be more of a motivator for Hakeem, as clearly he needs someone to push him.

Maybe if we put a call in to his wife, and she with holds the goods unless he gets 20 pts and 10 boards.

If I were Rudy, I'd give that a go... Given that Mrs. Olajuwan was game, of course.

But I don't think it has anything to do with Rudy - aside from his obvious decision to play Hakeem less minutes.

Dream simply is not the player he used to be. Cut and dried, simple observation. Hakeem the Dream no longer exists - at least, not below the rafters - as far as the Rockets are concerned...

Homer says: "Yeah, Moe, that guy sure did suck last night. He just plain sucked! I've seen guys suck before, but he was the suckiest sucker that ever sucked!" Homer doesn't undersatnd contructive criticism...
