    There is a rumor that the Celts & Lakers will meet on Christmas day. Very good choice if true. All they need to do now is make sure the Rockets have a home game as the leadoff.

    why's that? Is it because of the bad road record for the rockets to start a season off? Wouldn't really matter to me either way...

    No. It would create more of a buzz in the city if it's a home game. Maybe it's just me, but I like seeing Rockets' home games on national TV with a lively crowd. It just makes me feel good. A road game would be fine too.

    my predictions for opening night.

    Cavs vs. Celtics (early game)

    Rockets vs. Blazers(middle game)

    Lakers vs. Suns (late game)

    that would ROCK

    In all Seriousness, if we could have a Jazz@Rockets game, imagine all the emotion during that game? I'd predict we'd win by 30 and the roof gets blown off the place.

    i wish our first 5-6 games are against elite teams and we win 4 or 5 of them and just strike fear into every team in the L.

    In a way that happened last year. We beat LA Lakers (that had healthy Bynum and was picked to do well in West), San Antonio, Utah, and even an improved Trailblazer team.

    At the first of year and during the streak, we probably were about the best team in the NBA.

    yea last yr was the same way. we played a brutal schedule to start and started out 6-1. hopefully we'll do the same this yr without the bad stretch after that and we may have ridiculous record

    Anyone remember the brutal start we had last season? Man, we played nothing but elite teams in that first month. I believe we played both the Spurs and Suns twice. Even played the Lakers.

    Alright, hopefully this is true and it's comes out tomorrow. I'm really excited to see how tough our opening schedule will be...

    ...Does anyone know if they are releasing the national television schedule tomorrow, too?
