This poll was used to check how many Rox-haters lurk in our CluthFans.

I have to wait to see how our 3 fit together until I can make a judgment.

    But based on last season:

    1. Boston
    2.Lakers
    3.Spurs
    4.Pistons

N.O's big 3 of Paul, West, and Chandler should deserve a mention as well.

As of now, it's tough to say...even if the individuals of our "Big Three" are better than the Big 3's of other teams, there's a chemistry problem (bc of Artest). The Spurs' Big 3 has been together for years now and I think they're still definitely above ours because of their experience together and they've proven they can win championships (even if you say Yao > Duncan, Tmac > Parker, and Artest > Ginobili which is definitely arguable). It's kind of like with Team USA...putting a bunch of great players together isn't going to win you any championships; a good team with strong chemistry will beat a team with great players but little/no chemistry. If Ron-Ron can prove that he's willing to do (almost) anything to win though, we've got a hell of a shot to win it all next season.

I think the Rockets have the best Big 3 on paper, but considering they haven't played a single minute together, the edge has to go to Boston, considering their Big 3 won the 'ship. But we'll see once the season starts. :D

how does the celts' big 3 look better on paper?

kg = yao (yao better on offense, kg better on defense)
    tmac > pierce
    artest >> allen

tmac or artest wouldn't suck for 2 series in the playoffs, and i bet my life on it.

as long as tracy and yao are here, we will never have chemistry problems. all the guys we assemble all have not won and all want to win. when you have the same goal, it's not hard to have good chemistry

I'm HOPING our team turns out the best threesome, and I'm excited about this trade.

... but it's only on paper so far. Everything is fantasy, until we see how it works.

But, having said that, Artest WAS the player I wanted most this summer, and wrote numerous posts stating that. On the court, he's the perfect fit for what we need, IMHO.

I just had NO IDEA we could get him for what we did, without giving up anyone from last year but BJ. Morey keeps on impressing me, and is adding true talent that we need. Even GATOR should be happy about this one.

Right now, though, until they prove themselves, you have to put Boston and LA from last years Finals, and the SA trio who have won a number of titles, ahead of them, until they prove otherwise ... and I'm rooting that they do.

I say that the Rockets still have the bigger four because Scola will average over 15 ppg and 8 rpg, which will be better than the fourth of the Lakers players stats. Then I think when you add Battier coming off the bench defensively, we pick up another edge.

Artest is a nice low risk, high reward move for a team that was talent deficient from the WC elites. But the deeper reality of the situation is that 1) the Nugz had first shot and passed on Artest and 2) Artest devalued himself greatly with his media blitzes about "I should have opted out".

But yes...I highly approve of the aquisition. :)

On paper i think the Rockets Big 3 look better then the Celtics but as of right now i voted for the Celtics. I voted for them for obvious reasons such as they're proven, healthy (mostly), and compliment one another very well. We'll have to wait and see how Ron Artest fits in our offense. But I honestly think he will cause Rick Adleman is a offensive genius. So until I see these guys on the court together with full health you have to vote celtics, but i hate them. Will Yao be ready mentally and physically when the season starts? I hope so cause November is going to be tough.

I agree with you here, especially about Artest being the number 1 player that I wanted us to try to acquire. Now proving it is what makes this upcoming season so EXCITING!

I think at this point Boston's big 3 have such great chemistry that I can't put the Rockets big 3 at the top just yet. I want to see the on court product before I proclaim the Rockets big 3 as better than the Celtics big 3. And I don't think Artest is clearly better than Allen.

I voted for Boston, although I don't like one bite of P.P. and R.A. But, KG is THE king. He will destroy the inside when the time comes.
