Sorry if its already been posted, delete if it has. Rockets center Yao Ming claims that his injured foot is still far from fully-healed despite returning to the floor two weeks ago for the Chinese national team, according to The Houston Chronicle. "I feel weak," Yao said. "I would say I am about 60 to 70 percent and that is frustrating. I am sure now that I will play in the Olympics." "But I won't be in my best shape. I know that. And that is disappointing," he added. He suffered a stress fracture in his left foot in January, missing the remainder of the season for the Rockets. This is old news, but I did see a story on CNN about chinese parents pushing their kids extremely hard for hopes of making to the Olympics. These kids were as young as 3, doing sit-ups and walking on their hands. Some of the kids seemed to be crying and the parents mentioned that the kids didn't always like it, but they knew what was best for them. It was kind of like the children only way out of the life style they were in and for their children to have better lives. They showed Yao and told his story of how he is the center piece of the Olympics and was worried that he would be injured and not able to play, and if he did play their were worried that he would not be 100%. They also told a story of recruiting of coaches(American coaches), and how one coach quit because they wanted him to train the athletes 7 days a week, and they wanted him to be more military style type coaching. That they expect to win at all cost. The story was pretty messed up and made me wonder and if second guess Yao rushing back to play for the Chinese team, when he might not be healthy enough. Is he hurting himself? Are They hurting him?
