Rudy Tomjonavich will be coach as long as he damn well pleases.

    Get used to it.

He has better job security than the frickin' Pope.

If you don't like Rudy T, you can kiss my ass. He's won championships in the NBA, and unless we have a celebrity in this forum I'm not aware of - no one here has.

In matters of basketball, from talent evaluation to Xs and Os, I will always trust the judgement of the people that brought us two championships, over y'all.

    And so will Les Alexander . . . .

Well, first off, I think the main injury that has affected the Rockets has been Steve, not Taylor or Rice. But I do agree with you. How much will Rice really help the Rockets when he comes back? How will the softee Maurice Taylor really improve the team. But I don't think its so much the individual abilities that the Rockets are missing, its the fact they aren't being allowed to play as a complete team and gain some chemistry on the court. Most good teams aren't great over night, it takes a while playing with each other and forming some consistent plan that best utilizes the team's abilities. With all the injuries, the Rockets have not had this opportunity. How can Rudy make a gameplan when he's not even sure if his star player is going to be able to play that night because of migraines. How are the players supposed to learn their roles when it could change from night to night?

    Wrong!

Carroll Dawson is the problem, not Rudy. Jason Collier, Mirsad Turcan, signing Cato and Norris to those ridiculous contracts. Dawson has made many moves that make you say, "What the f*ck is he thinking?"

Rudy on the other hand knows what he's doing. Dawson has not given Rudy anything to work with. Rudy has the 2 most overrated guards in the league. The rest of the team is pathetic. The only bright spot we have is Eddie Griffin.

If we got rid of Rudy, who would you replace him with? John Lucas? Any coach who has less than 2 rings on his finger is a downgrade.

How did you feel about his coaching style when he won 2 championships?

You don't think Rudy has any say in the players that the Rockets sign?

How is Mobley overrated, when many people hardly know who he is? SI recently called him 1 of the 5 most underrated.

What about Sam Cassell, Cuttino Mobley, Dickerson, Horry, Kenny. These are five picks that were not extremely high, and they've all managed to prove they're good NBA players. If you think many picks around 15 or 17 end up being good NBA players, then its not even worth arguing with you.

But I do agree with you about the Cato signing and Moochie signings.

Since Rudy is the coach, I will only critique him on coaching. Our GM is responsible for personnel decisions, not Rudy. The blame for bad draft picks and bad contracts should rest on his shoulders.

Mobley is overrated. How many times have a heard that the Rockets have one of the best backcourts in the league? Do we? I will admit that our backcourt is way better than our frontcourt. That doesn't mean that our backcourt is one of the best in the league. They play no defense, run no fast breaks, don't involve their teammates, don't rotate to the open man, have terrible shot selection, etc., etc., etc.. But other than that, they are the greatest of all time.

Carroll Dawson was not the GM when we drafted Cassell and Horry.

I'd also like to point out that Sam Cassell, Robert Horry, and Michael Dickerson no longer play for the Rockets. If they are such great players, you should be pissed that we traded them away.

The only thing more pathetic than your posts is the fact that you consider yourself a Rockets fan.

That really hurts my feelings coming from you Dog Nuts. I don't jump ship from team to team following the "team of the moment". A Rockets fan wants the Rockets to win.

Anyone with at least half-a-brain (that leaves you out) can see we don't have a championship-caliber team at the moment. If you weren't such a jock-sniffer, you would know that. You can't look at the situation objectively because you too busy stalking the players.

"Hey Cato, sign my forehead". "Hey Cato let me take a picture of you!" "Hey Cato, be my friend!" Don't you think they get sick of people like you bugging them all the time? Get some self-respect loser!

Okay, so we keep Rudy; hire Sloan as the offensive coordinator and Van Gundy as the defensive coordinator, and find a good plastic surgeon for Rudy's eye baggage. That should make everybody happy. Is everybooooody happppy?:D

Seriously, have faith in Rudy and CD.
