    KT had 44 minutes. 16 pts, 9 rebounds, 4 blocks, 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 turnover, 1 foul, 100% from the line 2-2, 58% FGA.

I want all those who always talk about, not jacking up 3's all the time , doing the little, not flashy things, playing defense, playing smart and a well rounded game etc. to praise KT for this--even if he is two inches shorter than Antonio Davis, even if he is paid many millions less per year than Antonio Davis.

BTW my first live game of the season. I noticed KT playing awesome defense, one incredible block on Carter I believe and rebounding, but his overall game surprised me, when I looked at the box score.

I know, I know, he can't shut down Garnet , Duncan, Nowitski, Webber. Did it ever occur to you that none of them can shut down each other?

Another observation. Cuttino was quick enough to get in front of Vince on defense, but Vince could not stop Cuttino from getting the first step on him. Vince hit some tough shots with Cuttino right there. Damn, Vince was doing some shooting.

KT is our most underrated player. He has a lot of potential.

KT is our smartest player too, he plays within himself more then any other player on the Rocks.

Uh, not to get all negative, because I really like KT's game since that one month of selfish play early in the season, but Jerome Williams outscored KT all by himself (20 pts in 33 min) and had a decent amount of boards, etc.

Our frontline as a whole did play much better defense int eh second half and at the end of the game, but the first half defense was some of the worst ive seen all season (and apparantly RUdy really got on them at half-time for it). Even in the second half, you could see how Keon Clark had an interior advantage over Griffin, mainly do to his experience.

Anyway, I really liked the second half effort, but our frontline still needs some work.

Has anybody ever figured out exactly how tall KT really is? His detractors say 6-5 1/2 and his fans say 6-8. Sir Charles was about 6-4 (maybe 6-5 or even 6-6) and he was a fairly successful PF. I realize KT is our strongest trade bait, but perhaps the Rockets should consider keeping him. Oh, no, do I foresee a poll on his role?

Excellent post. . .but unfortunately waste
Kt is excellent . .a keep but
if your name ain't Eddie . . . you don't belong on our front court
    People here buy into POTENTIAL
    more than results

Mo has potential . . but has done little with it
    KT IS GETTING RESULTS!!

but most here cannot get away from that Potential
of Mo's. . they will morgagae out future on POTENTIAL
and continue to fantasy trade those who GET RESULTS!

You can't blame anyone for preferring to think of the potential of a healthy Mo and an improved Griffin to go along with a confident KT next year, given the consistently poor results this team has seen this season.

If we want to talk solely results, just look at 45-37 versus 22-38 this year already. Or a frontline that has been badly outplayed all year long. Did they play better last night...probably, but it is doubtful whether KT outplayed Jerome Williams (the star that he is  ) much less the whole frontline.

Kenny has great energy and confidence. he is the bench guy the rockets need in the future, especially with his ability to 3 and 4.What do you guys think about MoT at the back up C next year. The C position already is the waekest for most teams in the league, and MoT can hit a jump shot and draw the defenders away from the basket for penetration.i realize he will be undersized, but who isn't compared to Shaq.If we can draft Yao Ming, that would be perfect as a filler who can make up for Cato and MoT, if they can't get the job done.Of course we could use the Yao Ming, MoT, KT line up as well.Even if we don't land a Yao ming would you guys go with this?

    Cato/MoT/EG
    EG/KT/?
    Rice/KT/?
    Mobley/Torres/?
    Steve/Moochie

I think KT should seriously be considered for Most Improved Player award.

The guy flat out plays hard and has really come into his own when it comes to making plays, getting rebounds, and scoring.

Now if he could only hit a damn free throw the guy would be gold. :D

Guys, it is not just the FRONTLINE that has been outplayed this year, our whole team has been outplayed.

Just take a look at the defense in the first half last night and you will see one of the major factors for our decline.

    Agreed

I mean did Steve miss 16 games last year?
They had the old fossile at center last year. . .what was his name??
HAKEEM!!! one of the best [even if not last year was a contributor]

OH yeah . . didn't they change some rules too?

i think KT played last year too.

to say that Mo is the difference this year is stupid.

Potential of Mo's? If it came down to Mo vs KT, I'd take Mo...not on potential, but on talent, chemistry, and wins.

KT has done great this year. I think Walt shows how good our offense can be with a consistent SF (Walt isn't ,but imagine if he was) playing SF.

KT was hitting open shots last night. I haven't seen him hit these shots that much this season (I haven't seen a game in about a month till last night), but was impressed last night.

I personally think KT and Mo are too valuable to be on the bench and it would be advantageous to move one for a center, PF that can be stretched into center service, or a ballhandling SF. Whether or not the rocks could get fair market value is another story.

Sorry Swopa, but I don't like GS and Tom Pender's philosophy and I don't think it would mix well with Rudy's. Not that I'm overenthusiastic about the current rockets play, but I think they could improve if they had players at every position.
