A friend of mine has season tickets to the Browns (they're Browns fans  ), but her and her husband are unable to go to the game against the Texans. Knowing that I'm a huge Texans fans, she said I have first dibs on the tickets. They want 60 bucks a piece (2 tickets), and I think they're in the Dawg Poud.

I would love to go. If I did, I probably would have to take a couple days vacation, and make a weekend out of it (Cleveland is 3+ hours away).

My other question is do you think I could sit in the Dawg Pound in Texans gear, and not get killed (my girlfriend not get killed either)?

What do you think? Is it worth it to go?

That's what I'm trying to find out.

I'm trying to save up money, but I'm willing to splurge every now and then to treat my girlfriend and I. But I want it to be a generally enjoyable experience, and I want to be able to root for my team.

i am a chiefs fan and went to the sunday night pounding the texans took from KC. i had problems with a few of the fans as LJ was busting off a 40 yard rip.

i was also in oakland when the texans beat them down(i think they had like 5 INT's that game)......and i was cheering for the texans, nobody said a word to me........

    go figure.

I went to the Chargers-Texans game in San Diego last year, and other than the occasional "there's only 2 things in Texas....and I don't see any steers..." it was actually really fun mixing it up with some of the fans.

Grew up in Houston but lived in Cleveland for a while and have been to a Browns game. By all means go. Cleveland Browns Stadium has one of the best atmospheres in football with some of the most passionate fans I have ever seen. I always thought football was big in Houston but Cleveland tops it easily in my opinion.

You might have to take some verbal abuse at the Dawg Pound (if you wear Texans stuff) but at the end, most people are friendly. Plus you figure the Texans will probably lose so the fans will be in a good mood. You can also go to the NFL Hall of Fame which is about an hour or so drive away from Cleveland.

I'm trying to see what point you were trying to make here... OAK fans OK when losing, KC fans not OK when losing, first you're a CHEFS fan and then you're a TEXANS fan... so... eh, I'm still lost, mate.

There are usually a couple of people from Texanstalk.com that go to the Cleveland game and sit in the dawg pound in full Texan's gear each year, so you won't be alone.

Good for you. I am thinking about going to the game in Green Bay on December 7th. Should be a great time, albeit freezing.
