I've been thinking about this. It may be obvious, but I'm curious of how people feel about our potential. In old school game show fashion, here's the deal. Would you take us winning a championship this year and not having any more success on that level with this roster or take our chances with five full seasons and post seasons of guaranteed good health?
The ultimate aim in NBA is to win the ring period. If we can win it on crutches we just have to do that.
this is like asking us if we want to be the miami heat (1 ring then suckery) or the suns (consistently not winning the championship). i'm taking the championship baby
See I don't buy that. I think if healthy we can do great things, even last year. We may not have one it all, but we would've had a decent shot. Personally, I'd take a healthy team because the potential is too great. Our pieces are better than the Suns ever had. Artest is better than Marion. Tracy and Nash are close. Stoudemire is close to Yao, but doesn't have the skills that Yao does. That doesn't even factor in Shane or Luis. I'm hoping we win multiple titles before Tracy retires.
I'd take a championship over health. Our city has been in such dire need of one (and no I don't count Dynamo or Comets).
Give me health for 5 years. Four years of futility cancels out 1 championship season, in my opinion. I want to have something to root for year after year.
