as much as i want to see artest take out harpring... i want to see dorsey go up against harpring. Didnt dorsey say the texans contacted him? also, didnt he say he was "Ray Lewis"?? I say put the football players against each other! interesting match up!
Yep. That's what stuck out the most to me. Too often midget guards, or whoever, feel like they can drive the lane on us. It is one of the few things that irritates me about Yao. As Barkley says, sometimes you gotta knock them on their ass.
This is the type of toughness and intensity we need. Remember how soft New Jersey was? They were a nice team, a playoff team, but soft. Then Kenyon Martin started fouling guys hard (Karl Malone, Tracy McGrady) then suddenly teams around the league started fearing New Jersey physically because they knew that if they tried anything funny, crazy old Kenyon Martin might take your best player's head off. That's exactly what we have in Artest. And I'm hoping that Francis is healthy and in top shape because he is a tough player as well, and an emotional player who has his teammates' back . Between Francis, Artest, Battier, Scola, Alston and guys like that, we will have a fearless, bad ass team that will wreak havoc throughout the year and in the playoffs.
several things i like abt this video, not sure if you put it up there to show his bad side or good, cause you could take it either way, one thing for sure is he is aggressive and i HATE matt harpring so i hope he plays him physical as hell this year, second, "no lay ups" that's what's up! he doesn't weak foul you and let you score, i like that, intense, aggressive player, exactly what the rockets need...you can never predict how a player will behave off the court, their personalities off the court arent always apparent on the court, and with someone like artest you never know what he'll do, i think he wants to win, and i think he wants that more than anything else, he respects yao, he respects tmac, he respect rick adelman, the man just wants to win, i want a little bit of that crazy on the court, put a little fear in the opponents eyes...just stay out of the stands haha, but seriously, for what we gave up this is an incredible deal for us
if we have yao last year, we skunk the jazz in the playoffs. you give us ron artest this year, the jazz forfeit after one mega a** kicking. i hope we see the jazz in the playoffs next season. I HATE THEM!!!!!
I am loving it Our 2 superstars are great. But not enough. Ron is the one that rockets desperately need for the higher level -- No fear, No softness. Whatever he does...he does for a win. Thats what the games mean So excited to see adding Ron to rockets. Can't wait to watch rockets games
how many times are we gonna say 'i cant wait for the season to start'? ive been sayin it too much, i have to stop but how?
Artest has a sack. Maybe you don't get it because you don't have one. The Rockets haven't had one in years. I'm glad we finally have a sack again. This will be a fun season. Otis Thorpe, Carl Herrera, Sam Cassell, Dream = sack
Lol, I love Ron's style of play and eccentric style. Basically he gets his way in the games and man-handles the sh$t out of you or there WILL be hell to pay!!! I can't wait to see this guy in a Rockets uniform playing against the Jazz.
the honest truth is i hope we meet utah in the playoffs this year so we can really show them how much we've progressed from JVG's era. man oh man i would love to see a healthy rockets team with dorsey, barry, and ron on it. something to drool over til the season starts again : (
