We're in some trouble if Artest's only incentive to play hard is to impress China.

You know how they are saying Yao is joking in another thread, I think the same applies to Ron in this situation. Yao is good but not that good to where Ron would look at him as a guy he needs to impress. Ron is just going to come and play hard with the mindset to win without being a distration.

Artest is unlikely to be all-star again. At least Detroit fans will not vote for him.

Honestly ,Ron is among the best 10 stars in Nba,together with LBJ ,KG ,Bryant ,CP3 ,Tmac,T Duncan ,Yao ,Paul Pierce n D Howard.

Rockets fans should feel rather happy to see Ron artest is coming to Houston, which makes it possible for Rockets to chase the championship in the upcoming season.IN the past ,our guards are too slender except tmac who has more fat than muscle though.Bjax was strong but undersized, not to mention head and brooks.Francis was a good roster but his damned lap made his season ruin.Bonzi was an ideal addition to our guard line but his poor shooting skills are too bad to keep him in this groop .We need a guy who is not only strong like Bonzi ,but also has as great shooting skills as peja's.Fortunately ,Ron is just the guy we need ,and we have aquired him.

Ron makes the rockets a tender in stead of a paticipator in the upcoming season,we will no longer need to concern about the jazz's tough defence and their aggresive offence,as that we have a guy who is more aggresive and tough on both ends than any roster in the jazz.Artest is always full of energy and enthusiasm.I appreciate Ron's style and his passion.

Houston Rockets will for sure win the title ,sooner or later. :D

A better title for the thread would have been: Do you think Artest will make the All Star game. And then perhaps have a poll go with it.

It is a valid point. I think there is a good chance he could make it with the hardcore Houston and Chinese voters.

Who cares about the all star game....win a ring Yao, Tmac and Artest.

After Dream got shafted by Robinson even the MVP trophy is like a Milli Vanilli grammy.

It comes from the Artest-Harpring vid, in which Artest is heard to shout "No layups!" a couple times after knocking AK47 to the floor like a sack of potatoes.

The real lameness of this thread is that we're not writing any real messages to Ron.

Hey Ron, Houston fans LOVE you, man. You have found your home. You got your coach, old friends, guys who can ball. This can be the best season in your life, baby, and everyone wants to help you make it happen. Big new contract, all-star status, a championship, all are within your reach THIS YEAR. You can do it, now make it happen. HOUSTON LOVES RON ARTEST.
