    1. I don't think Ron sounded like he took offense at all. He just said that Yao may not known him well and there is nothing to be concerned about.

    2. Even if Ron took offense, he'll probably forget that he took offense in 30 minutes or so.

    3. I don't know if "Ghetto" got anything to do with it. Is Ron really that much more ghetto than, say, Bonzi Wells or Steve Francis? Unless Ron goes bat crazy, I think the whole "culture" thing is going to work out just fine.

i thought it was pretty positive sounding. ron ron sounded pretty willing to take a backseat to yao and tmac. that certainly makes me feel more at ease with artest. this "situation" will be a distant memory after these guys start practicing together.

man i'm glad we have someone who is ready to bring some pain on defense. let's not forget artest broke one of MJ's ribs. he ain't neva skurred! :p

no way he has ANYTHING on Rafer for NY culture.

Chris Paul wishes he was half as good as rafer.

Translation: "Yao and Artest will get along with no problem. They will both work together for the same purpose."

    Am I close?

It's too long to read, but I believe Yao and he can get along, because they both have the same goal

Wel Im actually a bit surprised how he says he'll do what they tell him to do. I guess its a sign that he at least at the moment understands why Yao said what he says and why he shouldn't get into a clash of words. And the Adelman comment at least made me pleased to hear he might just actually listen to him and tone it down at least for him.

I don't think it's a problem with what Yao said. They're trying to sound like Yao doesn't want Artest.

You are mostly right. While Yao didn't use the best judgment, that is not the main problem. If there is a real problem here, it's the way the media twisted it.

Dayyyuuuuuuummmmmmmm..... Aug 14th is way too far away.

I'm sure its exaggeration. Artest's personality was exaggerated by the media so much that you'll look at him as a pure bad boy without laws. Artest actually holds a lot of charity events, and some honest writers out there shows the good side of Ron. Kids love Artest, and that is 100% true.

my reaction was to think . .

i don't know any insane people. but the interview really made me think that Ron Ron is crazy. it will be somewhat hilarious to watch Ron Ron chase his tail.

i think it will work fine here; we just have to remember to let some of this slide. Ron just being ron. It comes out a little over the top or completely nutty to us, but he's just talkin.

Adelman is clearly going to be doing that all year long.

wow, that guys is really out there (not substance of what he says, but how he expresses himself.)

Im surprised with everyone over reacting on this issue. Yao is trying hard to be the leader of this team and what he did is what exactly a leader should do. And last time I checked, Artest is cool with it. Nothing to worry.
