jazz fans are so naive... we played them to 6 games w/o yao and rafer for 3 games.

seriously, no one remembers injuries. that's good though. we'll surprise everyone this season.

I love this. LOL. I love the hate and the jealousy. Let them burn with envy, let them bach this team, I dont care. We're not a good team. We've had 50+ win seasons and b/c of unfortunate events we dont get as far as I we would want. This is the year, let them talk and hate b/c we pulled the trigger.

Question Mr. Color Changer... We beat the Lakers last year for our 22nd game in a row. They didn't have Bynum and we didn't have Landry or Yao. Beating them means we were better than them in my book. So, by your statement example above "Yao > Bynum" Wouldn't that put us as definitely better given that we beat them whithout those two in the line-up?

LOL at the lakers being better than us. We've always had their # ne time we played em. Who fears the Lakers? it should b no1. Yes they're talented, pass well, and play a great finesse game. But they r SOFT. n they just lost Turiaf who wuz beastly in his own right. Their whole game is predicated on timing and passing. You get physical with them and I dont c them coming out so pretty. Look what the Celtics did n the finals. Teams will copy that defensive blueprint. They r also hampered financially w/ their contracts to the machine, mamba, Gasol, sweet and lo, vlad rad, walton, and pretty soon Bynum.

I would agree with your comparisons above except statistically our bench is far better than theirs.

If Yao stays healthy the Celtics will have a nightmare guarding him downlow.

Remember last season when Yao single handedly fouled out all their big men.

you aren't giving the lakers enough credit man. getting bynum back completely changes them as a team. its been so long since bynum has played many people have forgotten how beastly he was performing before he was injured. a frontline of bynum and gasol will be a problem for ANYONE. they should be able to control the glass against anyone.

you can't just say people follow boston's defensive blueprint because not every team has the personnel on the court or in coaching staff to do it. what other teams have a player like KG who is so long and agile he can help out on D and still recover before the offense can pick apart their D ? Boston is a truly special team, one of the greatest teams this league has ever seen. even the spurs who are a very good defensive team got beat in 5 games by that laker team without bynum.

the lakers should be every bit as good as they are projected to be this year. i'm not saying i fear them because i don't, but getting by them in a series would be no easy task.

In their single matchup last year Bynum did not play well vs. Yao. It will be interesting to see how that matchup evolves this season.

Agreed I rmr the one Laker that gave sum sort of match against Yao wuz Kwame very good positional defender. However no1 has ne idea on how Bynum will return. Even if he comes back as great as before I take the arsenal of Yao over Bynum's inexpierence.

Mebbe its the success the Rox have tasted playin against them in yrs past that has my hater shades on, but I c the Rox takin it 2 em.

Even tho the league doesn't have the personnel to copy the Celtics, we do. We can hound them all day w/ our physical lunch pail players: Dorsey, Hayes, Batman, RonRon, and McG is no slouch either. We can stifle the passing lanes with Alston and Ronnie being pests. and on the other end evry1 of their guyz r gonna have 2 WORK including Kobe. How much energy will this guy have in the 4th after either guarding McG or the physical Artest?
