    sorry RM95

Thomas or not, you have no bench at 4/5 to withstand a season of nagging Cato injuries.

We want the best front court player we can get period. Yes, a PF/C type (a Cato with more O) would be ideal, because then our best line-up is playing small at the wings (SA at the 3, solving one problem) with two good rebounders and shot blockers in the middle to compensate for the 3 guard line-up(Martin, Swift come to mind, Woods or Mihm--true centers, could work too). However, if we get a chance at a longer or bigger SF (McGrady through trade, maybe Fizer, D. Johnson, I am less high on Morris) who is better than our 4/5 options (the above 4/5s are gone), by all means go in this direction. Then we are just deeper in the back-court and hopefully have a SF who can play some minutes at the 4 if need be (e.g., a quicker Marshall or a better shooting Joe Smith). But we simply should get the best front court player available in the draft or through the trade and not worry where guys like KT or Los get their minutes. If they continue to improve their minutes will come either at the 3 or 4, that is not a problem.

And sorry to all the guys who are irked by player comparisons (Barkley-type, Grant Hill-type, etc.), but that is a lot easier than saying I want a 6 41/5 260 lbs rebounding- machine handle-the-ball type or a 6' 8" 225 good-character handle-the-ball do-it-all type. Player comparisons are simply a way to succiently describe many attributes in 2 words, or only 1 word for the instantly recognizable players like Chuck, Dream, etc.

Kenny and Carlos are bench players. Neither one should even start but right now they have to cause we dont have anyone. I agree I think POWER FORWARD or CENTER is the position to go. But power forward is the most we need. 3 power forwards I like in this draft are , Kenyon Martin, Stromile Swift and Marcus Fizer.

One of those guys should drop right into our hands.

If we got Fizer or Martin, or another 4 via free agency, I would be more than fine with Walt as our starting 3 (I think Shanna and me are the only two on this BBS who actually like Walt).

I am another person who likes Walt. I don't see why so many of you all don't like him. He's a pure shooter with experience. We can't have a team full of rookies if we're gonna win the championship.

ON the topic, I am also in favor of drafting a 4. We don't need another 3. WE can make a ton of ppl play the 3- walt, shandon, gray, even mobes. So, get Fizer or even the injured Martin, but I'd rather have Fizer.

I think that Kenny could actually be a pretty good startin power forward in a year or so. He has range on his shot, which will keep on gettin better. His jumper might come to be as dependable as Webber's is right now. But, I KNOW that Kenny will be a great backup power forward, which he will ultimately be if we draft Fizer.
