Please, no title talk... All I want to do is get out of the first round. Then we can talk about the rest.
sounds like a plan, its just hard not to get over excited though. and im not gonna lie, ill be pretty tickd if this ended up to be a 2nd round exit.
Yes...Rockets fans in general get really excited about a specific aquisition (Swift, Francis, etc.) but only one has really panned out in scola. Lets be humble and hope chemistry issues work out.
That'd be cool if we were the players... But we're the fans dude. We're like destined to heartache when the Rockets lose ...and conversly we definelty have the right to dream of whatever is possible. And let's be honest; this roster is shaping up to be a championship level team...that's not being cocky, that's being truthful, most impartial NBA observers will also admit that.
i've seen many people comparing this move to artest to the move boston made, but we need to keep in mind that boston is still out there lol. i do not think we are better than them right now. also, i don't think our big 3 fit together as well as theirs, but i think we can get to their level with enough sacrifice and hard work. we are a lonnng way from a title, but it doesn't seem as far fetched as it did a week ago.
A deal like this doesn't fall into our laps every day. It's hard not get over-excited ... But your right, we'll have to prove on the court. This deal could be the beginning of something special.
lets wait and see if we are healthy, remember 2006? high hopes turned into oneof the worst seasons ever. 96 and 06 was "crutch city" but i am excited though
Boston came in and swept all three Texas teams last year. That hasn't been done for a long time. We can play with them now and the rest is just playing the games!
I'll make the official "Championship? No way!" thread sometime around the turn of the year. If things go as expected, I don't think I'll have any reason to make a "Playoffs? No Way!" thread though.
