OMG. ARE YOU SERIOUS O_O GG, ROCKETS WIN IT NEXT SEASON LOL No but seriously, oh wow. Just wow. Ron, ****ing Artest! AND with T-Mac and Yao =D As long as there's no MAJOR injures next season, damn are we gonna be soooo good. His attitude and personality is a little ehh, but who cares - he's a beast on the court! God I can't wait. Donte Green looked like he had a lot of potential but so do most players coming into the NBA xP.
I'm not sure if it was mentioned in the previous 49 pages, but they updated the Chron article of the Artest trade. The players the Rockets are getting that they will dump are: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/5914062.html The Rockets also are expected to acquire rookies Patrick Ewing Jr. and Sean Singletary in the deal to make the money match, but both have partially guaranteed contracts and are likely to be released.
Haha, this thread might out blown the TMac trade thread. Man, I've been saying no to Artest because I really believe he is crazy. But with this price? Even I can't refuse. This is Gasol Part II. Except that it is the good guys, not the Evil Empire, who got it this time. From today on, I'll pray every day that Ron Artest will remain sane for the duration of his stay with the Rockets. Please, don't let him screw a season with his crazy antics. I think we can now come out and say Morey is a genius. Look what he has done. Last season, he traded Mike James' dead weight (contract) plus Bonzi's dead weight (meat) for Bobby Jackson's expiring contract. Now it is part of the Artest deal. On draft day, he turned a #25 pick and a #54 pick into a high potential player in Greene. Now it is part of the Artest deal. And he still has two picks that could turn out to be solid players. The whole of last year's 55-win team, the team that won 22 straight is intact. (We'll see how Landry's situation turns out.) And we added a dead eyed shooter in Barry plus a third scorer who can defend. Wow, just wow!
True dat True dat like that behind the back dunk he didin that dunk compitition Sorry if i spelled that wrong lol
Wow, just came by the site and had to check a couple other places to see if I wasn't dreaming, but we just aquired the missing piece. All signs point to Artest having a good season under Adelman being in a contract year. I like what this does for our team offensively and defensively. Too bad we had to see Greene go, but I think around June time frame, we'll be thinking it was well worth it. side note ( Die David Stern, quit fixing games!! )
With a lineup of Artest, Mutombo, Battier, Hayes, and Dorsey, the first team to score 10 points will win the game. Chances are pretty good that it will almost always be Rockets with Artest scoring all of 'em.
What is espn doing they're not even talking about it now if this was the lakers they would be all over this
