I would only say yes to AI because I'm anticipating that we will only have 3 out of 4 per game due to injuries/suspensions. We need to make sure we follow the big 3 mold like Boston and AI would be the icing on the cake. If we can trade more trash like Head/rafer then why not? It'll also help trim the roster down too...
We don't really need him. A team like ours should get a smart PG like Nash to evenly distribute the ball. Plus, We have a young AI in Brooks, and a broken but maybe repairable AI in SF3!
How about TMac for AI? Yao/Mutombo Scolandry/Hayes/Dorsey Artest Battier/Barry/Head AI/Rafer/Brooks/Steve
How about this. Battier, Rafer, and filler for AI. Then T-Mac to Detroit for Rip, and Chauncy. Talk about a stacked lineup. Yao, AI, Ron-Ron, Rip, Chauncy, Scola, AB, Barry, Landry, Deke, Franchise(maybe). We could just sub out whole 5-man units at once. And please no "Captain Kirk". Extremely overrated imho.
No, we are not trading TMac until TMac, Yao, and Ron Ron plays a game together. Morey is not stupid enough to trade fairly. We don't need a scoring PG like Iverson. There are only so many shots to go around. Battier could be traded, but most likely won't. Best fit but won't happen: Nash, Calderon, Kidd
Please don't do stupid after you just finished something brilliant, Morey. I'd rather have Rafer than AI. Under current NBA rules, there's only one ball allowed to be on the court.
what if we offer battier alston landry(sign and trade with 5m) and some role players (head novak?) and draft picks could it match in someway?
It doesn't make sense to go for AI anymore. There would not be enough shots. Plus, we should have one chemistry risk, not two. That ends badly - see Portland. Detroit with ONLY Rasheed works - but if you had Bonzi there as well - look out.
Now that bjax has been traded ,the only way to match AI's salary is to trade tmac. Will morey trade tmac for Iverson? "No way could i trade tmac for ai"morey says.
Stop with all the random fantasy roster trades already. What do we need another wing player for when we already got McGrady, Artest, Battier and Barry (Francis too if you count him as an SG). The roster is fine. This isn't fantasy basketball. Iverson or any other volume shooter coming over will just screw up the locker room. Alston is adequate. Unless we can get a guy like Calderon or Delonte West, I wouldn't touch Battier nor Alston in trades.
