Come on preseason! I want to see what all the analysts over at ESPN are going to rank the Rockets in their season predictions.

This last year, we had a redo of the 1985 Lakers vs. Celtics Finals.

Here's to a 1986 redo of a Rockets vs. Celtics Finals the very next season....with a DIFFERENT OUTCOME!

And a Dynamo win to.......WHAT AN EFFN DAY TO BE A HOUSTONIAN!!!!!!!

The more I think about this the more amazed I am. If you think Scola makes Yao better wait till you see what Artest does. This guy may be a nutcase, but he is without question one of the best all around players in the league. He can punish you on defense and he can light you up on offense. Many players have said he is the hardest player to guard in the league. Plus, he has a major "hard nosed" attitude. This team desperately needed a hard edge to go farther. They have it.

If Battier stays, the Rockets will be a defensive nightmare for any other team's superstar. And furthermore, as much as I have been opposed to Rafer, he might be O.K. if he doesn't take many shots. Back to Yao, if he stays healthy they can double and triple him all they want and Artest, TMac, and Scola will light them up. But they won't, and then Yao will light them up. In one move, the Rockets have gone from first round weaklings to scary bully.

Haha, I was thinking the same exact thing. This is going to do wonders for his hip-hop career.

Just like the Garnett trade, hopefully it will have the same result.

 Oh my god, I just can`t believe that! We get Artest without giving up any major piece. If Yao wouldn`t have been injured last year we would have had a shot at the title, with all 3 of those guys we should be a favorite (alongside LA and Boston).

Now just resign Landry and we are basically set... or Morey could get us a first class PG (Alston and Battier could be traded for a real good PG...).

But still, this team is just a nightmare for other teams. If Brooks, Scola and Landry can still improve their game I really don`t see any team, that would be rated above us...

Of course injuries could still cost us the season...

Luther has to be shaking his head at this. If anyone is trade bait at the moment it is Luther.

I can't stop thinking about the "what if"

Francis goes back to form. Maybe not to form but a piece to the puzzle.

The defensive pressure and to a certain extent offensive as well that Ron can bring will help us deal with a lot of offensive mismatches.

Lakers,Denver,Dallas,GS,the Suns, New Orleans,an upcoming Portland, even the Celtics all could feel the pinch. Utah because of it's taller players, and San Antonio still seem the hardest mismatches to me but playing against them could get less difficult as well.

This deal is fantastic for obvious reasons if Adelman can keep this cat in check. What I think might be overlooked by many is that with Ron and Barry being added to the squad it will be very easy to limit McGrady's minutes to the point that he might enter the post season at near 90% for the first time since 04-05.
