i'm so glad we got Artest...out of my 311 posts i think i battled for Artest at least 150 of those posts... some people didn't believe...i will leave their screen names out of this to save them some emberrasment... Rockets are now tougher, better on defense, SCARIER, and now have AT THE VERY LEAST 3 30 point a night scorers... thank you Morey - i will continue to hug onto Artest nuts...

Why do the Kings do this trade with us? That's the best they could get? Maybe it's all Stern's plan. Last year was Boston, this year is Houston's turn? I hope it's true.
I know there will be something happened today. It is 3 am in London now. My birthday Good things will come!
You don't have to twist my arm on this one. Artest plays both ends of the court, is reasonably durable, adds an "edge" the Rockets don't have, brings Full Bird Rights to re-sign or SnT next summer if things don't work out mutually, has a positive history with Adelman... Does he do dumb stuff? Yep. Excluding (the athletically-challenged) Battier, everyone on the Rockets is subject to an occassional brain lock. IMHO...winning builds chemistry.
So, is there a moratorium for complaining about Morey for a while, or does $ball only mean the moves you don't like? I was refreshing the AI trade thread and when I clicked on the link to Feigan's article about the trade I literally was slackjawed. It's so great to be able to keep a player like Battier since he's such a professional and can hit the open three. Having a lineup with McGrady, Artest, Battier, Scola and Yao at the end of games will be incredible!
Im so hyped right now im trying to calm myslef down to read the article can any one say dy-NASTY? ok im stretching
From the ESPN article on Mcgrady's thoughts: Injuries held Artest to only 57 games last season, but he averaged 20.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game for the 38-44 Kings. Uh oh. Hopefully if we keep two stars on the court at a time though we should avoid injury in our "BIG 3." I'm still pretty freakin psyched
holy **** i just received a call from a friend telling me the rox had made a trade for artest and i thought he was full of it..... im ready for the season to begin!!!!!
Maybe, it's because it can't be confirmed by the league until August 14th if Greene is the main piece of the deal. It's also possible they could pull out of it as well.
OMG. Wow. Yes. Woot Woot! OMG. Wow. Amen. I'm flashing back to when the Bulls got Rodman. Anyone else? And somehow I'm thinking Artest will be better behaved... perhaps? In any case, the Rockets are going to be better than any sitcom next year... I want to have Yao and Artest miked because their on court conversations are going to be awesome. And our D will have teeth. OMG. Battier, Hayes, Scolandry AND ARTEST!!! and maybe even Dorsey at times. Wow. We are going to be a tough team. I can't see any defensive drop off. I've got this visual of people picking on Yao and behind him we've got a large list of tough tough guys to back him up. LOL, we've got some tough players to back up our 7'6'' 300+lb center. I can't wait for the season to start. just wow.
