Where does it say the deal is being held up until the 14 Aug? I know realGM says IF it's Donte Greene, THEN the deal will be held up... But that's speculation.
From the Chron: "Because of contract considerations, the trade will not be announced until Aug. 14, though that would indicate the deal could include Rockets’ first round draft pick Donte’ Greene. Greene is not permitted to be traded until then, one month from when he signed with the Rockets."

I initially hoped it wasn't Greene, but honestly, he wouldn't find any playing time after Landry is inked with Scola, Landry, Battier, and Artest in the mix. Sorry to see you go young fella, I thought you had the potential to be something special, but as we say every year, we are in win NOW mode and Artest fits into that mold much better. No wonder we made Greene the focal point of our offense this summer. He was being showcased! Thank god for 40 point games to drive up your trade value!
