All of this and Carlos Lee just hit a Grand Slam.

Plus, I'm having some of the best Chinese food in my life.

    Thanks, GM Dynamite.

Wow! I thought it was a fake, too.

We got Artest for nothing in terms of what we lost right now. Incredible.

Next step is to pick up one or two aging stars wanting to jump on the band wagon. Who is available? Any aging point guards available?

This is the all out go for it now strategy.

Just to make sure, is it possible between now and Aug. 18 that one of the outgoing Rockets pulls a Devean George?

Sooo...if we don't make more significant trades...how could the minutes break down:

    PG: Alston (24), Francis (8), Brooks (8), T-Mac (8)
    SG: T-Mac (30), Barry (14), Battier (4), Head (0)
    SF: Artest (32), Battier (16), Novak (0), Harris (0)
    PF: Scola (30), Landry (14), Hayes (4)
    C: Yao (30), Deke (8), Dorsey (8), Hayes (2)

16 players...still need to move either Head or Harris.

Obviously, the one and only position where we are not top-notch yet is the PG position.

I don't see a significant upgrade available, and we cannot throw in a first-rounder to get an upgrade either.

    So I think

    Houston Trade Breakdown
Change in Team Outlook: 0.0 ppg, 0.0 rpg, and 0.0 apg.
    Incoming Players
    Chauncey Billups
6-3 PG / SG from Colorado
No games yet played in 2007/08
    Outgoing Players
    Mike Harris
    6-6 PF from Rice
No games yet played in 2007/08
    Luther Head
6-3 PG / SG from Illinois
No games yet played in 2007/08
    Steve Francis
6-3 PG / SG from Maryland
No games yet played in 2007/08
    Rafer Alston
    6-2 PG from Frenso State
No games yet played in 2007/08

    plus a first-rounder

is out of the question, unfortunately ;).

This is still the same Artest that took a week off to promote his rap cd. Talent-wise we win. Psychologically might be different....

    YAAAAAAAAAY

    :D

You can't beat THAT with a stick!

    For Greene/BJax/1st rounder?

    INCREDIBLE

Adelman already knows how to work with Artest and bring the best out of him. I know he's a risk, but not for what we're sending them. Artest increases our defense, athleticism, and is also our third scorer. That seriously increases our depth.

If if there is anything to the AI trade now, it wouldn't be so hard to lose Battier/Alston, but with Artest able to be that third scorer, Battier sure would be a great 6th man along with Barry.
