I'm always checking RealGM to see if there are any major trades, was expecting to hear something about Josh Smith but then I see Artest heading to Houston, I'm like "Holy #@"%". All that is said is Bobby Jackson and an unnamed player and I haven't looked into it too much so this is a first reaction post. I'd think that player is Aaron Brooks which means Battier is kept and aload of matchups are there with Artest at power forward and Battier at small forward.
Nope. But I'm really happy this trade went through. Artest's ability to bull his way to the basket and play tenacious D against 2, 3 and 4's is a great complement to the more pacified McGrady. Alston will still run point unless any other trades go down. I don't think the Chron would write out a full article if this trade wasn't almost guaranteed to go down pending Donte Greene becoming available. Both sides probably won't comment until then.

Brass Balls Morey strikes again. I'm so excited about our team next year! I'm however, a bit leery about our PG situation. Hopefully brooks/francis works out as Rafer's backup and we can resign Mutombo. Heck, I forgot, Barry/T-Mac can handle some PG duties if necessary too. Now, let's pray Artest keeps his mind right!
