MAN wow wow wow we're finally one of thsoe teams that pull off a lop sided trade...ive witnessed it for too long we're finally one of those teams that has a coach that you look and wish you could have...ive witnessed it for too long we finally have our 3rd scorer whose a legit scorer but also brings insane defense...ive witnessed not having a 3rd scorer for too long we finally have a court that looks on par with the other top teams in the league....ive witnessed having a court that makes us look mediocre for too long its been too long its finally right to say this but this time for sure ...its time
well since they can't officially announce it untill aug. 14th which just so happens to be the day donte greene can be traded, it's pretty safe to say it's greene.
Good trade. Con: Giving up Rocket's 1st rounder Pro: Since the Rocket's pick next year should be at the bottom of the first, it won't be that much lower than the high 2nd they picked up this year. Con: Giving up Donte Greene Pro: He could explode but I have a feeling that his shot selection and personalilty would not have fit this team. His old "fans" don't seem to like him at all - which usually indicates a red flag (but the same could be said for Ron). Con: No Bobby Jackson means more Rafer Pro: Rafer won't be counted on as the 3rd scorer and since he won't, more Rafer may not be so bad. Plus this will tell us if Brooks is ready to play. Or maybe Francis is really ready to play again (hope). Con: Ron-Ron Pro: Ron Artest in his last year of his contract and he's playing for a coach that he likes. If he works out we sign him long term. If he doesn't work out we can trade him or we just use the money toward 2010. Summery: We gave up 1 bench player that we weren't going to keep, 1 pick that I suspect won't be more than 5 picks higher than the pick we picked up, and a "potential" player that may or may not pan out - all for us to pick up our legit 3rd scrorer and increased our D and toughness. Again - Good trade.
WRONG. Having 3 versatile wing players is great. And remember, TMac is a point forward. I say Adelman and Morey are optimistic on Aaron Brooks this upcoming season.
1. we have artest's bird rights so we can SnT him next year if for some reason he won't resign 2. We still have Memphis's 2nd round next year which would be only a few draft spots behind our 1st round pick.
