Is this thread a knock on Yao or Yao fans, or both?

While you are having fun at it, I hope you realize that something like this can turn goodwill of some fans into ill feeling.

It really shouldn't be that way, but it is happening. You earn trust and respect slowly and you can lose them fast. It does the board/team/city no good when some "not-true-Rocket-fans" leave with the momery that some "big fans" have no honor/class.

BTW, I thought Yao to Rockets was a bit more than Vujacic to Lakers. I could be wrong though.

Now that wasn't the question was it?

the question is simple who is Dream?

let me give you a better analogy

    1. 1=two
    2. 1=one
    3. 1=one or two

there, does that clear it up? this always makes it fascinating when you make a question so simple that people can interpret it to what they want to believe.

you WANT TO BELIEVE its a knock on Yao

    its in your head
    its in your head

i'm pondering if I should reveal the reasoning for the social experiment though people on the original thread know what I'm trying to do already.

then you get the rfila folks who turn everything I say into something completely different like

Yao to the Rockets vs Vuyacic to the Lakers. I'm still wondering where I actually compared player impact?

I thought I was simply saying that in LA, Laker fans know Magic to be Ervin Johnson not Sasha Vuyacic.

but yet I don't think its his reading comprehension, i'm sure he can read.. if he chooses to do so. he selectively picks words from the statement and changes the words to what he wants to see.

    They don't deserve it.

longhornchampno is just as stubborn as you. Even though he's sitting there not making any logical argument and just keeps blathering about you "chasing cars that drive fast" and his "mission to show the world that tinman is racist and hates new Rockets fans", he won't back down. It's why he is on this board. To call people names and start fights.

He's a selective arguer for sure. Won't respond to the meat of any argument, just the sentence or two he cuts out.

These people do not understand the revolution here. The world is changing. If the corruption continues unchecked, the Rockets will implode, which in turn will implode the universe.

    Rockets>God>Universe

I was 10 years old when DREAM/CLYDE hit the Hof....father was an alum of UH.........that makes me 35 years old......

G-Unit are stupid too me.....I like making fun of them.......I'm more of a ROOTS guy....you know they realize theres no difference between disrespect when it comes to the gov./cops and when you buy Nike shoes made by an 8 year old making change for a month.....I hope you cherish all human life......

YAYO is cocaine dude.....Scarface the videogame is your only reference? How about the real deal the movie or even Brad Jordan....c'mon.....

you're experiment is how you can validate your discriminatory hypothesis at the expense of everyone not in Houston and who have love for a player who is much more than the game in our lifetime. It is extremely exciting that a guy is breaking boundaries and helping pave the way for the future of others who have a lot to offer around the world.

You are ADDING nothing to this conversation and your sentiment is ignorant.... YOU didn't follow DREAM in college?....You're not a DREAM fan.....WOULD you start your fraternity argument if it was hundreds of Nigerian/Hakeem fans on the board in 1993?

YOU may be "experimenting", we know what you're experimenting with, and YOU FAILED THIS SITE.....by bringing nothing informative that creates positive inclusion but instead for ego purposes you wish to ostracize a group of people who may have felt out of the loop most of their lives for no fault of their own....did you think about that before you indulged in yourself?

Its the history of this site to make long threads that respond to inflammatory and unsubstantiated remarks....YOU did nothing special!

SORRY about my crazy posts yesterday......nonsense begets nonsense....I was hoping it would kill the thread by administration hands.....FREE SPEECH is great I appreciate that.....even though hate speech is hard to take.

I guess I'll reveal to you the reasoning behind the social experiment since Carl Herrera was such a favorite on the old team.

    this thread:
    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=151538

pretty basic eh? who's the most loyal to the city of Houston?

Kinda like Tupac being loyal to the city of LA , talking about the "Wesst Side"
who on the Rockets is loyal to the city of HOUSTON!?!

    here are some answers:
this led me to my quotes:

    CONCLUSIONS

    1. People are not reading the question (hench the whole City of Houston (city where the Rockets reside) part and who is Dream (a particular person in Rockets lore) was ignored.

    2. When people see a poll they automatically think contest! (Yao is leading this poll etc). for my poll, it wasn't a contest, it was just a multiple choice question like the scantron tests

    3. People don't read the whole thread and think ( In the D&D, I replied with Michael Jackson and Prince songs until someone had to point that out to people. This one I replied with Batman quotes)

    4. I was right about people blindly posting on threads and selectively seeing what they want to see.

    a. I do know I had a grammatical error, I was going to fix it, but thought people would just ignore it anyways. plus it turned out to be unintentionally funny!

    b. this is the easiest question, Mad Max would be harder he was more of an obscure figure to Newbs. Dream on the other hand is known by all basketball fans.

    c. this was way better than I expected!

    Interpretations:
    1. its another Tinman hates newbs thread
    2. Tinman hates Yao fans and China thread
    3. another Tinman ode to the Rockets old players thread

wrong! its just a simple freaking question. hahahahaha

LETS PUT A SMILE ON THAT FACE!!!

I know that, the chainsaw scene was too vulgar to post when Tony was talking about the Yayo so I linked it to the Scarface SOUNDTRACK (what video game did you see (another proof newbs don't read or watch your posts  ) with the Blondie song "..get the Yayo, get the Yayo.."

come on dude. I know you saw Scarface!

Michele Pfifer= Catwoman=six degrees seperation=you know what that means right?

Own up to that may be you're experiment can be construed as discriminating?

Alot of guys in sports go to college as a catapult for professional leagues so should the guy whose busting his butt for a bachelors degree not support the teams because those guys are part of his school for all the wrong reasons?

Do you not root for TJ Ford and Emeka when they are not playing against the rockets because they are from Houston?

Do you not hate them because their school is a rival?

All I'm saying is that some of the people here may love this site as an escape from the ignorance and disrespect of the world we live in..... shouldn't this be a welcoming place that promotes a common goal which is a rocket championship for any person whether they are from TMacs school in Florida or Yaos home of China or even AB in Oregon?

Your experiment is self indulgent..... Yayo existed before Scarface(Oliver Stone didn't make that up!)

MORE PEOPLE IN THE WORLD KNOW YAO MING than the Houston Rockets or Hakeem.
