Welcome to maturity Clutchfans. The best stories are when somebody young and naive does something stupid. When you get old and savvy you get too careful and boring....except for Fatty and HeyP.

Now I think I'm going down to the well tonight
and I'm going to drink till I get my fill
And I hope when I get old I don't sit around thinking about it
    but I probably will
Yeah, just sitting back trying to recapture
a little of the glory of, well time slips away
and leaves you with nothing mister but
    boring stories of glory days

Glory days well they'll pass you by
Glory days in the wink of a young girl's eye
    Glory days, glory days

And the hangovers hurt more than they used to do
And cornbread and ice tea's took the place of pills and ninety proof
And it seems like none of us do things quite like we used to do
But nobody wants to get high on the town
And all my rowdy friends have settled down

The Hangout is like the Simpsons. We're in our 10th season, and the plots have been mostly used up because we have had the same writers (see the 10,000 post club).

If you're bored, come to the D&D which is more like American Dad. Like American Dad, it's not as funny as the Hangout, but it does have new(er) materials.

Or you could watch American Idol in the GARM.

Hell, even I'm settling down a bit. In the past two weeks, I've only been out twice to watch the Astros and have some beers with the boys. This past weekend was spent watching a movie on Friday. Going to my girl's math class on Saturday to help tutor her. Saturday evening we just chilled out and played scrabble. Now that isn't to say I've quit anything. I still have 3-5 drinks every night. But then again, I'm noticing a bit more maturity on my part. Not too much, mind you. Just some.

I'll start some random thread later on to pick this board up.

I've seen the elitist, snobbish attitude grow around here the last few years. Pretty sad.

I've got drama - plenty of it. But I'm not entirely at liberty to discuss it, and I don't think the people involved would appreciate it either. :(

Otherwise, I have no doubt it would bring the Hangout out of its funk! :D

That's great FT, but nobody really cares what you think anyways.

It's just about time for FFB to get blindingly drunk, do a few stupid things, and start a thread at 4:00 AM one morning.

"So this is happy hour....two drinks for the price of one...." :D

Don't worry guys, we are just one epic thread away from revamping this place. Anything along the line of "I'm dating a p*rn star", "Bus stop stalker", or "I naired my sacks" would do.

Thanks for the protectiveness - really, I appreciate it. This is the same guy I was going out with last year - he's grown up a lot since then and in general. Our relationship is a lot better now. At least it's good to be with someone who is willing to grow and change and communicate.

...and no, this is not the same guy as "Ferdinand" my ex-husband. That was over a loooong time ago, thank goodness. And I do appreciate the clutchfans being there for me, especially at that time as I worked up the nerve to straighten out my situation. I'd like to think I am a stronger and braver person now.

I'm open on August 7th at 4:30pm. Want to have some random insult-ridden slapdown fest then?

Is this the same girl who broke up with you a few weeks ago via text? Sorry, I went on vacation and couldn't keep up with all the news....

Or do you already have a new "my girl?"
