Are people intentionally ignoring the point of this thread, or is it just completely going over their heads...?

Good for Chuck. He's a good guy.

    http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/charles-barkley-helps-pay-busboys-college-tuition-18937

CHRISTIAN ABATE majored in education at Temple, but put his studies on hold for a few years while having financial hardship. He’s worked as a busboy for eight years at Saloon (750 S. 7th), where he struck up a friendship with one generous regular at the Italian restaurant who volunteered to pay his Temple tuition.

During a visit to Saloon last summer, Charles Barkley asked Abate how he was enjoying teaching, and was disappointed to learn that Abate had still not returned to Temple because of problems securing financial aid. Abate, 28, of South Philly, started at Temple in 1997, months after graduating from St. John Neumann High.

Sir Charles told Abate he would like to help him with his tuition, and Abate wasn’t sure how to respond. Barkley didn’t give him much time, telling Abate that he had the length of Barkley’s meal to decide. Abate wisely accepted.

The problem is this thread is worthless. This website was meant for people to have ongoing debates about Yao vs. Tmac and sh** on anything else. Sure we let the occacional useful thread come through but I WILL SH** ON IT IF IT AIN'T ABOUT TRACY OR YAO.

...or i'll start talking about one of them.

Since you're giving out free advice, remind me not to judge people, it's a sign of weakness that I try not to do.

I never had admin rights. I just had the root right to take over my machine and all the software running on it, including shutting down, backing up, reindexing and turning on this bbs, anytime I deemed necessary...as per the demands of my first responsibilities...jodi.com and spamgourmet.com, which superceded this bbs and all us 1999ers.

For my first loyalties, I've been branded an ******* here...who needs to be "bent over a barrel and *****ed up the ass."

That said, Clutch is a better man than me. He's one of my internet heroes. But, I guess that shows a sign of weakness in me. 'eh Brooksball.

Then again, truly confident men don't worry about how they're perceived by others.

Lol, it's hard to take you seriously heypartner. Half of your posts are in a joking manner. If you're joking, you can't expect everyone to "get it" immediately. Brooksball's response is perfectly warranted if you're not joking.

People who truly don't worship other grown men, don't put the name of a grown man in their clutchfans screen name either

By the way, big thumbs up to Barkley for his great deed. He also accepted less money (less money = MILLIONS = more money than you'll ever see) to help Scotty Quitten to join the Rockets club. The first person tell to you that Barkley coulda meant more to the club but appreciates the Houston fans is Barkley HIMSELF.

Though going by the reactions of some posters in this thread, he was being a bit generous with his appreciation...

I'm not joking. I don't joke about Charles Barkley and David Hardisty. They are better than me.

Why do people always say this? Beating the Sonics!! What did that get the Rockets? That trade destroyed team chemistry, made the Rockets older, but we beat the Sonics.

some of the greatest who ever played the game never won a ring (karl malone, john stockton, patrick ewing...)

    TEAMS win championships, not players.
