I personally don't think ducks are a good choice for a pet, maybe that's just me. I hope you let it swim in the bathtub at least.
we had a couple when I was a kid. All I remember was the excrement we called "hershey squirts". If I were you I'd make sure I could keep it outside.

I didnt know DD was asian i love eating ducks and pigeons. When they are cooked right, they're pretty tasty.
They were wandering around for hours with no mother in sight. We plan to take him to a park on the bayou when he is a bit older and see if he wants to join the ducks there.
hmm...i'm a pretty clean guy so i wouldn't be the one to keep a duck around...or duck butter for that matter.
Sounds like trouble. I recommend calling DW. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/czCqMWRFVg4&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/czCqMWRFVg4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
It's not a Wood duck, it's a baby Mallard. And it's more than a day or two old, but still young enough that you will not be able to raise it successfully. Turn it over to a duck/bird rescue. Are you in Houston? If so, just look up bird rescue groups in that area, and call them to see if they take ducks.

When I was younger I made my parents buy me that exact flavor of duck from Wabash. Basically you can raise them with ease but they get big. You will have to eventually just release it back into the wild. Bear Creek Park maybe? I dunno. Just make sure you don't leave them out during a cold night.
Just don't bring it with you to sleep or you will suffocate it. One of my best friends got a baby duck so she put it between us when we slept one night and next morning, it was suffocated to death under her pillow.
