    US wins by 50+

I love watching team USA. Game was very fast paced. I think USA shot 70% in the first half. Kidd and Boozer were the only ones who looked non impressive.

On a side note, watching us slaughter the Canadians just makes me want Michael Redd that much more =/ I think he was like 6-8 from 3 point range. He has such a sweet stroke.

The FIBA rules make the NBA look like the WNBA. Anyone see how physical the game was? If this was conducted under NBA rules, we'd be in the 3rd Q still shooting free throws. Not even D-Wade's patented flops worked in this game.

Yeah they really allowed defenders to get up on perimeter players.

Is that why they are all floppers? The game is so physical that you have to exaggerate the contact to get the calls.

I was most impressed by D-WADE....even though it was his first game in a few months he didn't look as if he'd lost a step.

To the contrary. You will get a call, when you are not trying to get one.
    I like that.

I hate NBA trend of players going for a wide open layup and then throwing their selves aside into nearest defender for AND1.

It's kinda sickening to me. Sure its nice to get away from the flops of the NBA but they don't call anything. Several times i saw someone from USA slap right across a players hands and arms to steal the ball. Its so stupid they just alow people to beat the crap out of you because their players arent quick enough to keep up. USA would demolish EVERY other team if they had gotten used to this by now. The play down low seems to be flip flopped though because bigs try to go for charges alot more without the circle.

Wade looks like he's back again. He looked sharp, motivated and just overall dominant. Definitely looked better than he did at any point in the 07-08 season.

I was looking at their depth chart and they don't look that small on paper. A ton of them are around 6, 9. Also they have Bosh and Howard. So do any of you guys think this is going to mean the difference between the gold and at worse bronze?

Size will never be a problem for this team, hitting their open shots on the other hand....

I was ecstatic! I hope the Heat are good this year and surprise people. I want to see Wade a few times on national TV in the regular season and in the playoffs.

I didn't even recognize him at first with the shaved head and shooting sleeve.

I agree. I don't like the Heat but it was great to see one of the best players in the league looking elite again. He was untouchable. Let's hope this keeps up.

P.S. Felt soooo bad for my boy Levon Kendall being matched up against Melo. That wasn't pretty.
