If Landry wants to get paid, he should fire Baker and hire Mark Bartelstein. Bartelstein is a miracle worker for 2nd tier players.
Maybe Buddy Baker should hire 15-20 statistician to figure out the possible salaries Euro teams will pay, while he's waiting on an offer.
Why doesnt landry just get the MRI? Is he worried he will get bad results? Regardless he will have to do it, right? I think he should stay with the rockets, and drop the agent because its obvious "it business" and he only wants a larger paycheck when landry gets signed...
I'm starting to get really annoyed at this crap. I like Landry, but he is not going to be a star...and he may not even ever be a starter. His agent needs to shut the **** up before he doesn't get an offer from any NBA team.
The MRI is somewhat a bluff from Morey. Morey will pay market with or without the MRI, but the Rockets won't make the first move without the MRI. at least that's how many of us read it.
The key problem is Landry's knee. all Baker's tricks wont work until he can falsify a doctor's diagnosis on Landry's knee.
I'm fed off with this Landry thing..hope Morey can go into other direction...maybe we can make a deal for C. Villanueva and Mo Williams..we get the same scoring PF with height and a new blood PG that could help Alston..
If there is nothing wrong with his knee, Landry should be eager to get it tested. Once he can show good test results, it will boost his value. There must be something wrong. Landry may be have very serious knee problems, beyond what is already known. Who knows, maybe he will end up shelved most of next season no matter how this plays out. Or worse, Landry may end up never amounting to anything if his knee is really jacked up.

Nobody is stupid enough to do that. If anything goes wrong with the MRI, Landry will be screwed. Baker does well on this one to protect Landry's interest. Baker must get Landry some guaranteed money first before any MRI.
No way he gets the 10 over 3, we're not letting any contracts ride past 2010. We're gonna be major players in that summer and a packup PF's contract isn't gonna mess up Morey's plans for the future. I can see him getting a better offer from one of those teams "rebuilding" like the Twolves or maybe even the Nets. You think Landry gets a lot of open dunks now wait till Lebron is in New Jersey.
Tired of the Landry's things, his agent won't get what he wants, actually it may end up with like Bonzi, fire him and play balls. half of good basketball, beside, he couldn't create his own shots. Let him go.... Develop Mr MIKE, it would be much better.
Landry is his only NBA client. Edit: I was wrong. James Singleton is his other client who has played in the NBA.
I believe they want exploratory surgery. He's had an MRI. And I don't believe it's a bluff. Being a data junkie, Morey wants all the information about the tooth's knee before making a long term offer.
I bet they already did the MRI privately and the results are not very optimistic. If there is any chance to prove that Landry's knee is OK, they've already done it .
right. I was just responding to the question. Meant to say a scope. But it is a bluff in the sense that Morey will match an offer sheet with or without the scope being done. He will match market, just not set the market or negotiate without the scope.
