This guy who works at another store of mine who I see semi-frequently...is a pimp. I don't mean he's good with the ladies, I mean he literally has a workforce of prostitutes. He has been heard on the phone discussing hotel arrangements, money drops, all kinds of pretty obvious stuff. He's not shy about it either. How does one go about getting into the pimpery business? He seems like he's living the good life. He has 2 (2!!!) cell phones and a gold chain to boot. It does seem like a tough business to get into. I have a hard enough time finding women to have sex with me, much less strangers for money which I would get a large percentage of. What are the pros/cons to becoming a pimp?

Pimping is hard work! Sounds like this guy is play pimping if he can't leave day job alone. Collecting your money from the stable is a full time job!
I think limiting your wardrobe to bright purple, red, yellow, and green is a downfall. That stuff is harder to find than you think. Another setback is how your employees 'make you hit them' when they don't give you your 90% cut of the money even though you 'love them'.
