This one is even worse than the post of the other idiot. You have taken it to the next level by adding the stereotypes while not even the other idiot has done that. You are more idiotic between you and the other idiot. Congratulation, you have won the battle of idiotcy.

OK, I'll call you racist, and you deserve it. Geez, what is it with people? Is there a virus going around or something? Someone find a cure!

You mean an Indian pretending to be Indian? Only a mad genius could do such a thing!

Frankly, are you suggesting that he's not Chinese nor living in Guangzhou? I mean, I've never even heard of Guangzhou.

I don't understand or like all the hostility. Really I don't. I have the utmost respect for China and am very happy to see an ancient civilization take it's proper place in the world as a global leader and superpower.

But all superpowers, including the U.S. needs to be put under the microscope. So with all the great things that come with economic power, so does the scrutiny. That's how it works. Because I, and I think many others, want a conscientious China.

So understand please where we're coming from. I'm not trying to invoke hostilities. Not anymore. I used to. But I'm trying to take a route others have asked me to. And that's come back here and try to discuss things without being manipulative nor antagonistic, nor without any of the games. So I'm cutting yall some slack, because to be fair, I kinda was a four letter word to you and many others.

But now, I'm saying sincerely, what's going on there in CHina - not just to blacks, but other minorities, and yes, even Chinese citizens - it's not good for China in the long run, and it's not good for your world standing. The sooner the Chinese people realize this, the sooner the gov't will change and take measures to ensure human rights - of all those inside the borders of China. Because all people deserve that...and no, America ain't perfect by any means, but at least there is a system in place to balance the injustices when they do happen.

So that's all, let's try to make some sort of understanding ya know? Becuase otherwise, what's the point in discussing?

Say two CF.net posters, basso and pgabriel (whose political inclinations are well known, at least when it comes to Obama), each starts simultaneously his own thread on the New Yorker Obama cartoon. It doesn't take a rocket political scientist on this board to figure which one of the two is going to have a good 'ol fashioned laugh at the subject of satirical portrayal and which is about to feel a pissed off at liberalism gone awry.

As to your question do you honestly believe that MadMax on some levels believes that the PRC will cut off the arms of children if they don't cheer on the Olympics, my answer is do you honestly believe basso believes Obama is hanging out with Osama?

He's being satirical and showing how awful the first post is. There wasn't a lot of condemnation from some of the known Chinese here...I think that's what his motivation was.

In other words, he's trying to show how offensive the post is to blacks by making a similar post about Asians. You seem pretty offended no?

It's a cartoon - of course it's satire! Besides, it's mocking the PRC not the people of China.

Whose idea? You mean the idea of the sinophobes? I wouldn't bother to entertain the thought of winning the hearts and minds of those goons'.

Did I say a cartoon is not a satire?

You can't separate the people from their country, especially given the amount of support we've seen.

I don't buy that one bit. The guy was being a racist, very unambiguously.

So when Americans criticize Bush or our gov't, it means we are mocking the American people????

But that comment explains a lot - for instance - it explains why you find it so offensive. Because no one connects the Chinese gov't with the Chinese people.

I think Nixon going to China was a big mistake. We should have never opened up to China - not only has it killed American manufacturing and turned us into a walmart nation, but it has given a lot of power to the PRC.

We should have forced a collapse ala the Soviet Union, and seen a democracy take hold in China. Or at least asked for a bill of rights to be enforced.

No way, it's total satire of the first post. It's the exact same phrases just with Asian stereotypes inserted where there was black stereotypes.

It depends on one's motive. A sinophobe's *criticism* can hardly be ever taken seriously.

Same goes with India, until its caste system is totally abolished, until it stops harassing Pakistan, a U.S. ally in WOT, until it promises not to take away millions of American call center jobs and IT jobs, U.S. should not engage India.

Not having relations with a country that holds a huge percentage of the world's population because their government sucks, badly? That makes as much sense to me as not having relations with Cuba... none. Oh, I was against it at the time, thinking that Nixon and Kissinger were making a mistake, but I think you greatly underestimate the PRC's willingness to make their people suffer in order to remain in power. Had we taken the course you suggest, we wouldn't be seeing the great progress made for hundreds of millions of Chinese, even if far more Chinese are being left in the dust, literally. We would be seeing the PRC acting like the turtle with its head inside its shell, "safe" and helpless. Only the people of China would be suffering, not the elite, who continue to do what they think they need to do to remain in power.

No, I can't stand the PRC (meaning the CCP), and I certainly can't stand Kissinger and couldn't stand Nixon (I'm so thrilled that I was able to vote against him), but it was a move that needed to be made by the United States.

Impeach Bush and Cheney. Put them both in Branson, on Display.

I don't know how I can help you if you can't see the difference.

The one guy who 'claimed' he was from China said racist stuffs.

knote32 said racist stuffs pls stereotypes.

If all he has done was just to echo what the other idiot has said, I wouldn't even said a word.

But he added the stereotypes. So he had taken it to the next level and it made it worse in a multiple scales.

Like I said, they are both idiots and racist bastards. But knote32 is worse.

Never said we shouldn't have relations - but there's a big difference between having relations and giving an oppressive tyranical gov't MFN status don't you think?

Particularly now if you look at our current accounts deficiet and the way China has no allowes the Yuan to rise against the dollar which is one of the big reasons our currency is in the toilet.

    I hardly think max is a sino-phobe.

As for India - it's the largest democracy in the world, and actually had really poor relations with the U.S. up until the 90's really. The caste system was abolished nearly a century ago, Pakistan actually invaded indian controlled territory and is the country supporting terrorist activity inside india, and India doesn't play with it's currency against the dollar.
