My 360 can't find my computer and my computer can't find my 360. I have tried every imaginable method I have read on the i-net. i have opened all of the ports it suggests. i have wmp 11, the windows update(sp2 i think). On the "share my media" section of wmp 11 it doesnt even show an icon for the 360 and my 360 fails on the "find computer" test. Anybody know how to solve this issue. i would really love to be able to play my mp3's throught my 360. Thanks....
Because that doesn't work for you try this: Use an USB stick, put your playlist on it and insert it in your Xbox or rip music to a cd and then rip music from cd to xbox
yeah...that works too man. if i cant figure it out that is what i will do. just trying to see if i can share ti directly. Thanks for the reply though.
I had problems until I enabled DMZ on my router, and besides that I remember a big cluster**** surrounding the setup... can you give any more detail on your settings? Maybe print out a configuration sheet of your router and post that info?
Windows Media Center and Xbox 360.... whats the purpose of the connection between these two? What else can I do besides play music on my XBOX that I have on my computer or to view pictures... I mean my computer is literally 3 feet away from my Xbox so would Windows Media Center do me any good? Can you like, send video from a game ie nba2k8 to Windows Media Center on my computer?
try downloading the zune software and configuring it through there. i've had no problems with my 2 computers, i have XP and Vista .
I'm not sure what you are asking me here. I would be using it to stream music to my xbox since my pc speakers suck and my xbox is hooked up to my stereo. My pc and xbox are not quite that close. Not sure about the nba2k8 question...anything would help.
Shoot, sorry... kinda forgot about this thread. What kind of router do you have? What make and model?
Well, I use it to stream music off my computer that's in the other room and play it during gameplay. It's a lot better than dumping bits of it on the hard drive, since I have more music than my 360 has space. It would also be very nice to stream videos off my computer and play them on my HDTV... if my PS3 didn't do that already.
I know it does, I'm just saying that I don't use it on the 360, because the 360 runs louder, is more likely to break, the interface isn't as nice, and I don't have a bluetooth remote for it. But for someone with no PS3, yeah, it's a nice feature. If I'm not mistaken, Linksys routers usually come with their own little software packages. There should be a way to print out a full config sheet from that software, but I don't recall being able to do it by logging in to the router. See if you can find that. Meanwhile, have you seen this site I hope? http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/BEFSR81/XBox_360_Media_Center.htm Admittedly though, mine just kinda worked after I had gotten my PS3 all squared away. Just had to wait awhile because of the two or three different defective 360 wireless routers I ended up with.
So if I have a HiDef video on my PC, I can stream it to my Xbox via Media Center and watch the vid in full HD on my HDTV?
