I'm not pining for it. I just see it as an option if he's done. The Rockets will be over LT when they re-sign Landry. I don't see the Rockets picking up a third scorer over salary dumping at the trade deadline.
Really? I know they have Bjax and other expiring contracts to play with.. I guess it depends on how much that "3rd scorer" is getting paid to judge the LT impact. One way or another, Jackson is gone by the trade deadline.
i'm biased because Steve is a close friend.....he also said he has alot to prove this year and is working to get back..so from that lets see
Wait ? Steve is a close friend of "COCAINE" cowboy. I heard rumors... my best friend told me some things about Steve. Is there something you wanna tell us CC? Or maybe not? Ive heard Steve has been battling some stuff behind the scenes. I think he is a great talent though... and has the biggest heart on the team... if he can get back to any shade of what he used to be... and contribute that would be great.
As long as he's back to the way he was when we first got him. Health food freak and workout freak. Gotta stop partying man.
anybody that says Stevie Franchise is done is wrong, he's gonna come back next season with a chip on his shoulder that he's got to prove to everybody that he is not done just yet!!!!!
Yes, but your BBS handle is disturbing, I hope that is not why you know Steve so well. There have been disturbing rumors about Steve partying too much.... I guess we shall see on his committment level.....I am sure everyone is hopeful... DD
Steve is and will always be one of my favorite Rockets and I'm confident that he will prove many of his doubters wrong, but being a friend of "cocainecowboy" is not a good sign. Sorry Stevie, but lose the friends and focus on basketball.
Wow are you guys serious? Since when did people start taking screen names so serious. So a guy named "Cocainecowboy" claims he knows Steve, everyone automatically believes him and now assumes that Steve is hanging out with "bad people" and has a addiction to drugs. And what are these disturbing rumors about his partying? The only thing I heard about his partying is the usual of what NBA players do. Just to clear some stuff up, "Cocaine Cowboy" is what they use to call the big time dealers in Miami back the in the day. There is even a documentary on that called, you guessed it, "Cocaine Cowboy". So isn't it possible that he got his name from that movie? No, that is ridiculous! Stevie is friends with bad people and is a druggie himself!
and the Cocaine Cowboy remains silent. Lurking and watching the reaction of this board. I don't care what someone's screen name is. I just want Francis to show back up at the beginning of the season ready to play. Maybe not at 100 percent because I know it takes time for that injury to heal but be ready to bring it strong by the All-Star break. Come back as the Franchise! We need you buddy!
Yes it's quite possible he saw a movie or heard the name from someone and decided to go by it. But unless he is just trying to mess with the board he probably has some interest in cocaine. Now the question is he lying about knowing Stevie?
If you really are friends with him, what does he say about how the leg feels? Yao says he's about 70% of where he wants to be. Is there still pain like before? Is it still weak? Is he running yet? How is he doing?
I promise if Steve Francis does not drop at least 20 points in one game, if he is still with the Rockets, then I will do something to embarres myself, any suggestions?
I hope will happen: Starting Point Guard What will probably happen: Bench Warmer/Trade Asset (Expiring Contract)
A healthy motivated Francis would be a valuable asset to this team. I really am hoping that he could be a great spark plug off the bench. Anyone who thinks that they would be better off without a healthy motivated francis coming off the bench to lead the second unit is not looking at how he would make the team better. At best I hope for a Ginobili type of role, and that would be exactly what this team needs. At worst his injury keeps derailing him and his time in the league could be over. That would be sad as Steve, while not always making the best of choices, was a competitor with heart that was exciting to watch. In a good team like ours with a good and well recognized coach like Adelman Steve would flourish if healthy. That's what I'm hoping for although I'm realistic enough that his health might prohibit it.
